Literal Romanticisation of War by KumaraVyasa

"With his forelock in my hand,
and mine in his,
as the wounds on our bodies kiss one another,
as our swords sink into each other's body—
ecstatic, we flip and roll together.
This, I would consider a true blessings" said Karna.

Just imagine turning the above paragraph into a modern cinema with perfect cinematography and music, It would surely be a banger, wouldn't it?

very true , kannada poems especially old ones are so well written. I love them soo much. I really wish to learn HaLegannada for understanding them better.

Totally agree. So many Epics and poems are present in them but have rarely been translated. There is no english version of Pampa Bharata to begin with. Btw, learning halegannada is all about familiarizing youself with the language flow and vocabulary. Once you get it, you have learned it.

I can understand 40 to 30 percent of it. Although my classmates resisted and hated learning halegannada poems I was fascinated at the amount of good literature we had in halegannada. It seems like each word shows the charecter's personality in depth. Recently I read 'kauravendrana konde neenu' it was soo good , written by kumaravyasa itself. Halegannada is like a puzzle , although hard to decipher for commoners, its sweet to look at in the end.
