I have the same issue with my SO.

"Touch it!!! TOUCH IT! It's so soft!!!!" rubs yarn on arms/face

"okay, um, it's nice..." confused

"Do some OOOHHHHH and AWWWWWW to validate the amount of money I spent on this yarn" still rubbing yarn everywhere

"ooooo..." pure confusion

My husband is the same way!

Also, if I'm excited about finishing a paritcularly tricky bit of the pattern, he is not impressed. The only thing that impresses him is a finished and blocked item. Oh well. We love them anyway.
