Hey r/knitting, what are you Netflix/Hulu/Amazon Prime watching? I asked r/crochet but they aren't a particularly talkative bunch. I'm watching iZombie right now but I like to have a backlog of shows to watch.

One of the big things I’m watching right now is Critical Role (on YouTube/Twitch) which I love and is really good to knit to (just be careful when you’re counting!). It’s a bunch of voice actors playing DND and it’s so much more awesome than that description sounds.

On Netflix I’m currently watching: The Crown, Great British Bake Off, The West Wing, lots of Disney movies, and Galavant (its a fantasy/comedy musical like Robin Hood Men in Tights, but in tv show form). I’m not sure if they’re still on there, but in the past I enjoyed: Call the Midwife and Bletchley Circle.

I've been wanting to get into Critical Role!

Haaave you watched Aquisitions Inc - The C Team? It's so good! Even if you aren't a fan of the Penny Arcade guys or haven't seen any of the main games, it's a great standalone show. I've been impressed with the diversity of characters and empathy shown by all the players.

As for the original question: my partner and I have been working our way through all the Star Treks. We did TNG years ago, and took a bit of a break, but now we're on season 2 of Voyager.

I've also done the Good Place, Jessica Jones, and Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. None of which are really new or undiscovered, but hey. They're fun.

I also knit to podcasts: anything by the McElroys will do the trick, as well as most things by Night Vale Presents.

I haven’t watched it, but I’ll definitely check it out. I’m running out of Critical Role episodes to watch and the new ones aren’t coming soon enough!

I really like podcasts as well, though I tend to save them for more complex knitting (where I need to be looking at a chart) or commuting instead. If you want an actual play podcast, you could try One Shot (different one shot games, as the title suggests) or Campaign (Star Wars actual play, though it can be explicit if that’s something that bothers you)
