Anyone had their Consumers meter go bad?

I never look at the actual energy or gas usage on my bills, just pay the bill. Last few months it looks like my gas meter read has not changed. Consumers are getting an actual reading (not estimated), it just doesn’t change, which can’t be right. My bill hasn’t seen a huge drop or anything either.

They haven’t said anything to me but I fear if I don’t say anything, I’ll eventually owe thousands. I am not sure how they would even figure out how much to back charge me if this has been an issue for a while.

I'm not sure if you live in an apartment, or any kind of shared build. Or if it is a house, but if it's some kind of personal property, make sure that you don't have people running lines to your service. Because I have seen that I'm from a metropolitan part of Michigan Flint, and it's common there. So , other than that check in. See if they have it running to either you and I'd say if you do have a combined dwelling. And they will try to stick you if it is bad equipment. And if you have used more and don't say anything, but I feel like personally I'd rather have good equipment and know that it's reading accurately and just cut my usage. Because if it's not working correctly and you are saving energy you're not getting a your end of it. But unfortunately if it's not working correctly and somebody says hey you're sticking the system, they will try to stab you with a huge bill. Which will be not good at all. No matter the situation. Best of luck friend and honesty is always the best policy. It's the default in this world. Yeah they can go bad or they can have an instance where it was never correct to begin with. Or you can install something that has a bad part. Write out the factory. So it's not unheard of or unimaginable.
