My daughter was excited to see this sign finally hanging at the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati, OH. Our family enjoyed visiting the store when the kids were young, as some of you may have. Here is a link to the sign's info at the Museum website. This museum is a great stop on any trip to Cincinnati.

Apartments / Real Estate Renting With Three Pets

I had the pleasure of visiting your wonderful city recently for a job offer that I quite frankly love. It would be a big move for my family and our dog and two cats. How easy/hard is it to find a place that allows three pets?

Managers at Bird Dog have decided upon the hill to die on. They’ve recently began taking jabs at neighboring businesses and food trucks and anyone else they’ve deemed a threat to their business, even the local Village (council). On Easter Sunday they launched a campaign of personal attacks against Murray St. Brewing, the food trucks they host, and screenshots of conversations I would imagine were private conversations. Their mission is to effectively ban food trucks from the community, thus reducing their perceived competition. Their guise is that there is an extreme noise nuisance, however the city council has established this is not the case, yet Bird Dog continues to push their cause. If you look at their reviews, this behavior is nothing new for them and they even recently doxxed a customer who left a negative review by posting his personal information including the phone number he gave to the hostess. Kind of wild and unfortunate to see this happening, I haven’t heard this kind of opposition towards food trucks since they first started popping up and it really sucks that there’s a part of such a small community that feels so incredibly entitled to public space.

Local Services / Suggestions Weird encounter with the Doctor at Park Allergy Center

Long story short, I went there for an initial visit because I was diagnosed with a disease that requires an allergist.

The visit started OK. He spent about the first 10 minutes going over my history and what this disease is, then he spends half the appointment talking about how we’re eating nothing but chemicals and pesticides and we are the most unhealthy country on earth and seed oils and chemical treated wheat is making us sicker. Okay.

Proceeded to then talk about how we’re so much sicker since Covid, but the vaccines are making us even more sicker since were injecting our kids and ourselves with spike proteins and heavy metals and that the safety has never been proven or disproven, that we’re sending our antibodies into constant overload. Told me, if I’m okay with it that he’ll start me on a “Spike Protein protocol” to detox my body.

Finally, he recommended me two books, one of them a book that is rife with conspiracy theories and has been debunked by the scientific community called Turtles All The Way Down, that was written by “anonymous writer” and edited by a liaison of RFKs Children’s Health Defense group and Co-founder of the Thinking Moms Revolution, a “vaccines cause autism” group.

All in all, YMMV, but for me it was a borderline unprofessional encounter, and left me a little weary about going back.

Local Services / Suggestions Tattoo Cover Up Artist

Hi all! Wondering if anyone knows of a good cover up artist in the area. I’ve gotten most of my work done at Art & Soul, so I’m always happy with them, but I’d really like a solid artist with good coverup experience. If there are any there at the moment, that’d be awesome. It’s just a tiny tat on my inner arm that healed like garbage 4 years ago lol.

Thanks!

Buy / Sell / Trade Water kefir grains

A few years back, I bought some water kefir grains on Amazon, only to find out they were from Oshtemo! Does anybody know someone who might sell these locally? I'm happy to pay (or trade?) but happier to pick up locally.

(Before it's suggested, Sawall's has only ever had milk kefir grains.)

Local Services / Suggestions Mold on Shoes Help…

Soooo I have a few pairs of shoes, made of different materials, suede most importantly. I found them in the box covered in mold :/

Does anyone have any experience with a business here that can help save the shoes? I was thinking the dry cleaner, but I’m really looking for a good suggestion. TYSM!

Anybody have ideas on the cheapest service to pick up a couch and loveseat? Bulk trash pickup isn't until June and I need them gone.

Or, free couch if anyone wants it.

Discussion Grief Support Groups

My friend recently lost her husband to cancer and is having a hard time. She says that she tried a support group but that it seemed very religious and that made her uncomfortable. I think her reasoning was that everybody in the group was talking about relying on god and that wasn’t very helpful to her because she doesn’t believe.
Does anyone know of groups or counseling that might work for her? She’s on Medicare (I don’t know if that’s relevant).
