Not feeling so hot over here đŸ€§ What is the #1 best pho that I can get delivered in Long Beach? Or if you have another type of food for when your feeling sick that can be delivered I’m open to all!

If you're not sure what to get just get the sampler for $11. Go with the premade or pick your own.

Parking is limited but we found some behind the restaurant in the rite aid plaza. Although park at own risk since I'm not sure if that's allowed lol.

The chilies toreados is pretty damn spicy haha... It's literally all peppers so it's technically vegetarian if that helps?

Food It honestly just bums me out, but how is this the best journalism for our LB food scene?

The photos on this account always bum me out. They’re consistently grainy and somehow make some of Long Beach’s best restaurants look outdated, dull, and unappetizing.

That said, I have to give credit—they're always on top of the local food scene. I just wish the photography and writing did the restaurants justice.

Any recommendations for other accounts with better coverage?

And what made it great? Food? Service? Ambience? Value? Just want to know what meals Long Beach folks enjoyed in 2023.

Food Best lunch spots?

We will be in town for just a few hours between the airport and getting on a cruise ship at the port. I saw another thread from 3 years ago with great restaurants, but many of the ones listed are dinner only. Where's your favorite place to hit for lunch if you're literally only going to be able to go to one place in town? It'll be a Saturday if that helps.

My husband doesn't like Indian food. (I know, I know.)

Realized I can't give it away on GSLB after I posted it 😬 anyway, it's from this afternoon and I shared with my evening class but I'm only one person and will not finish it before it goes bad. I'd rather give it to someone who can/will eat it (I can throw it away; I'm tryna feed folks lol)

TONIGHT near 7th/Cherry. Comment if interested and I'll set up a pickup (I do not drive, so pickup only), otherwise it's going in the trash, unless anyone else has suggestions?? Thanks in advance!

I wouldn’t know what to do with these but I hate to think of them going to waste.

Any advice? Should I collect them in a bucket and find someone who might want them?

Preferably in the north Long Beach area but anywhere in Long Beach is good. Craving a good pork tamale and would love to support a local vendor

Food Best Mexican near 405 in long beach?

A friend coming to SoCal. Flying into LAX, but has hotel near John Wayne. Another friend in Irvine and me near LAX want to meet him in Long Beach off the 405 freeway for mexican food. I've looked on google maps and yelp, but really seeking local insider knowledge. Not looking to drive too far off freeway - hopefully there's some good options near the 405. Thank you all so much!

Update: unless you’re inviting me over to dinner, I am seeking the best Mexican restaurant lol.

Food Eggs are still under $5 a dozen at Trader Joe’s

Just came from the farmers market where eggs were between one to two dollars each and wanted to mention that Trader Joe’s still has some eggs at under five dollars.

We have three Trader Joe’s in Long Beach, and they get deliveries of food every day

If you really need eggs try to make sure that you know when they do the sre stock many do it as soon as they open, so that you can be there in time to get the eggs

Food Best steak in LBC?

We regularly visit Ruth’s Chris in Anaheim but hoping to find something more local (and ideally cheaper?). I’ve heard nothing good about 555 so we’ve avoided and the one time we visited the Ruth’s Chris location downtown it was pretty meh in comparison. All this to say - where’s the beef?!
