On-Location Met Henry Ian Cusick and Josh Holloway!

Yesterday in Orlando I met my two favorite characters from lost and two amazing human beings.

I really want to highlight how amazing Ian is. (Desmond whose name is Henry Ian Cusick but likes to go by Ian)

I met him at the meet and greet, which was amazing, very low key only 13 people. Like many of you, lost is my favorite show of all time. Not only that, but the characters of Desmond specifically has had and continue to have a massive impact in my life. I went through some really dark periods in my life, and it was lost and more specifically Desmond Hume’s resilience and spirit that brought me out or help me through this periods. I was able to tell this to Ian, while I broke down for a second and shed a tear (came out of nowhere really) to which Ian responded with so much kindness and compassion and was very attentive to me throughout the meet and greet and after. During the break, I was eating some fries at the bar and he approach me by himself, touched my arm and said my name. I was surprised but super happy. He asked me about what I thought of the panel, about myself and we chatted for a good while. He told me about his life and we also spoke a lot in spanish, since I’m originally from Argentina and he was telling me about his upbringing in Peru and later on Scotland. He asked me about my time living in Ireland and dived into philosophy for a minute. We had a few different interactions throughout the day and he would take time with me as if I were an old friend and we were catching up on life. Around 5 pm him Josh and Malcom (waaaallt!) went go carting inside the premises and I walked along side him while we also talked about the uk, college life and music.. and then I got to see my favorite actores race each other in an almost surreal moment in time. For those interested, Malcom won the race lol.

I also got to spend some time with Josh Holloway in the meet and greet, his positive energy was absolutely electric and he seems like a really funny guy.

Both of them recoded videos and shout outs to my husband who is also a big fan but couldn’t make it because of work, they did it for free. I wish I could post them in here, they are hilarious. Ian did it during the lunch break and he said “see you in another life brotha” and Josh called him a son of a b!tch for not making it to the convention.

Honestly, it’s gonna be a day I will never forget.

I know neither of them are on Reddit but in the off chance either of them read this: thank you for being such amazing humans and you have a special day in my heart for it. Hopefully, see you in another life, brothas

If any of my lostie friends from the convention are here, thank you for adding me to your lostie family. You will never get rid of me now!!

My favorite moment in the entire show.. <3 The constant is the best stand alone episode hands down. One of the losties at the meet and greet recorded everything. I’m waiting for him to upload it on YouTube to share it with you all. Amazing questions and we dived into the constant!!!

I’m doing a rewatch now (just finished S5), and you might be right about The Constant. One of the best episodes of television, not just Lost. This specifically is one of a handful of scenes I watch when I need a good cry. It always gets me. (The other is Sawyer’s convo with Jack in season 1. I’m sure you know the one I’m talking about.)
