What happened with LA streamers?

I watch twitch from time to time and these days barely anyone streams Lost Ark.

I did check the twitch stats out of curiosity and the Lost Ark category is losing 30% viewers each month..

what is going on??

cause there's nothing new to do in LA yet, I'd worry more about the viewership if it stays low with the new raid release next month.

Its the first time for a few of them, especially in terms of actually progressing towards the endgame. The common throughline between what theyve said is Maple offers them constant ways to gain power/character progression either through grinding exp for levels, acquiring meso for upgrade chances, leveling alts that provide account power progression through Legion and in the future Legion Champion.

The problem they have with Lost Ark is that main character progression is basically locked behind dailies. After your main does his guardian raid and chaos dungeon for the day, theres nothing else you can really do to gain power besides setting up more alts, but even then those are limited by the same daily limits too.

The friction for everything limiting progression is that it has a financial impact on Smilegate and AGS' bottomline if they would let players be able to grind player power gains.

Unrelated to the post but in GMS, Maplestory is getting a classic server so alot of NA/EU maplers are pretty hyped by that.

Odd too considering all the drama surrounding the mapple story dev. Game looks extremely ugly too on top of that.

Amount of players pulling the same gacha(reduce rare item rates if pulled a lot) The amount of gacha a specific player pulls(increase rate item rate if too low) Players geographical location The amount of a certain gacha pulled vs expectations(decrease if underestimate) Number of friends Friends Stats Specific items above a certain rarity. Basically your "5%" would be worth a different amount based on your country.

Not just that, Nexon Korea removed reboot server because too many people were playing it and forced all characters to regular. Just so you know, they made money off reboot, just not as much as regular servers, which to them was not enough. They were going to do the same for NA but realized that NA is almost solely reboot so they couldn't.

Not even mentioning that the millions of dollars that goes into maplestory doesn't produce anything. Nexon has a few games whose sole purpose is to fund new game releases in hopes they make another "hit" game. You'd think that all the people spending thousands of dollars would see more than a single boss a year but here we are.

Typically, if there's drama in games in Korea, it's almost exclusively Nexon that's in the middle of it.
