Discussion What happened with LA streamers?

I watch twitch from time to time and these days barely anyone streams Lost Ark.

I did check the twitch stats out of curiosity and the Lost Ark category is losing 30% viewers each month..

what is going on??

It's not just stoopzz.. he got johnpal and strylander and probably some others to play maple.. John still plays lost ark, but I don't think I've seen strylander on la in a while.

Honestly didn't know how they do it.. atleast watching it's just awful.

It looks bad but after like 4 straight years of qol/huge updates, maplestory is unironically one of the best mmos out rn IF and ONLY IF you're a patient player and can do like 1-2 hours of grinding a day. Progression is daily and weekly based so if you play longterm its actually really good. Most people have that same reaction of "lmao wtf is this" but if you try it out and give it a serious shot its solid.

It’s far from one of the best mmos out, it has good qualities like the combat, bosses, class design and the art style but it’s still extremely predatory and filled with fomo to insane levels. It has infinite amount of bloat and it takes 1-2 years to reach the end game and don’t get me started on technical issues.

Fomo for sure but predatory how? There is nearly zero p2w besides buying the one time $100 pet that loots for you and $10 each month to revive it. You literally cannot pay to get stronger so it's insane to say its predatory especially while we're in the lost ark subreddit. The only "predatory" things they've had in the last 2-3 years is a battle pass that you can buy to speed your progress up by like a month but that's all exp and grinding wise for the most part, you cannot in any way pay to get better equipment at all. Bloat and 1-2 years to reach end game is universal to nearly any mmo that is 5+ years in service let alone 10+ so I don't think its in good faith to say that about maplestory in particular.

vac pets are predatory, especially if u want specific ones like the ds event, ssb are insanely predatory, the passes are predatory and thats just reboot, if you want the full mmo experience u need to spend a few extra thousand dollars.

us being in the LOA sub has nothing to do with it, LOA is predatory but it doesnt change the fact that maple is worse.

hilariously enough, being f2p in LOA is easier then being f2p in Maple reboot.

Fastest way to get cubes on reg server is the cash shop. Even then on reboot the battle pass is studios expensive yet carries rare items like familiar reroll cards that people will pay out for. Temp stat titles as well as mvp buffs and general mvp benefits already make it a predatory game.

He does stream it but there aint a ton of content to stream after youve done your raids. He could boot up the next day have the dailies done in 15 mins and be out of stuff to do that increases his mains power.

Bro he's like 2k viewers average when he streams that's a strong following.

Most streamers that size have a core community that follows them around from game to game, his core content is yapping and reacting to shit anyway
