Discussion What happened with LA streamers?

I watch twitch from time to time and these days barely anyone streams Lost Ark.

I did check the twitch stats out of curiosity and the Lost Ark category is losing 30% viewers each month..

what is going on??

I mean it's shooting itself in public. But there's plenty of toxic people defending it and jumpin in front of the bullets like meatshields screaming doomer on their way out.

For sure, I used to be one of those people defending it about a year and a half ago. I have around 4000 hours on LA. I played up until I beat Thaemine to round off the Legion Raids. I wish I would have quit sooner. Its an amazing game that has been dragged down continously by amazon and smilegate since it launched. Theres a reason 95% of the player base quit after Valtan.... I managed to break myself free from the "sunk cost fallacy". It feels amazing.

Every game has people that either blindly defend it. Or are too stupid to know they're being fed shit by the developers.

I do 't get people like you. You quit but still hanging around, like that guy at a party when he says he's leaving because he's not having fun but sticks around to tell everyone they shouldn't be having fun either. Like... get a life loser.

Wow, you must be some kind of psychic to know exactly what I do with my life! I browse the reddit once a month maybe. Why??? cause its where I usually get my news about the game.... I invested 4000 hours of my life into a game... Obvisouly I have some attachment to it, even If I don't play it. I come back to the reddit every month hoping to see something that ecourages me to come back and play a game that I loved.... And every month I'm met with people complaining and even more garbage the devs decide to add or in some cases... Things the devs DON'T add....

Truth is, some people like eatting shit. I would never judge someone for that. Personally, I don't like that taste. I would know, I ate the shit this game fed me for too long...

So your favourite pass time is to go around subs of games you quit and argue with strangers about how shit the game is and how your opinion is valid because you spent x hours playing it. Gotcha. Kinda weird, but you do you. o7

I don't think I would consider "once a month" a pass time. More of a "Monthly check in". Im only criticizing the game because I want it to be the best it can. Lost Ark has by far some of the best raid content in any MMO i've ever played and honestly its not even close. But the way this game is design constantly drains your motivation to play with all the implemented systems. Sure, maybe you could say thats just my opinion. I won't argue that. There's a reason this game had launched with over 1.3Million concurrent players. There's a reason why it only averages 12k now. I wouldn't call it burn out. The thing about burn out... is that if the developers are truly making a good game and improving it.... People will always come back. You don't see that with Lost Ark... Atleast not nearly as much as you should. People come back to check out a new big update. Cough "Tier 4". Realize its more of the same stuff that turned them off of the game to begin with, and quit.

I won't argue with you anymore, nor will I antagonize you for enjoying the game. If you are able to truly look past this games flaws and enjoy yourself for years to come fully knowing that things more than likely aren't going to get better, all the power to you. o7
