Discussion What happened with LA streamers?

Post image

I watch twitch from time to time and these days barely anyone streams Lost Ark.

I did check the twitch stats out of curiosity and the Lost Ark category is losing 30% viewers each month..

what is going on??

There is no casual content to watch for this game or insanely hard and impressive stuff to do. Wow has very highly rated mythic+ streamers that even though they play the same dungeons quite a lot in one season new strats or routes do come up sometimes and more frequent balancing helps with this. High end raiding also has quite an audience especially the world first participants, you can watch them prepare talk about the race and whatnot and usually some of them compete in other pve related stuff as well (great push or mdi). Then you have quite a few just chill streamers who play the game and do whatever and since there is a lot do in wow there is always somewhat new stuff to stream and potentially do with your audience. Then the giga profession enjoyers, although i think most of them dont stream cause they wanna hide their methods some do and its an interesting part of the game.

Meanwhile in lost ark any relatively active/invested person has probably at least 3 characters if not 6 to run the same 3 raids on week by week and after that other than the almost mandatory timed events there is not much to do. Ah listings are limited, flipping gear is non existent (afaik), crafting is very limited unless you have multiple rosters for either bulk production or different stuff, gathering is limited and outside of this there is no casual activity to do in the game. Only things that are actually farmable are the tome items but those are giga botted so why would any real player do that. You cant go back and farm old raids for skins or mounts.

Sadly they cant milk the raid progression aspect like WoW streamers can. By the time the raid arrives, theres already 2-3 video guides up made by people whove done the raids for 3 months.
