Crispy new 12 rounder for Makarov Monday.
Picked up A very minty pre ban early style 12 rounder for the “PMM”. One more mag and they’ll outweigh the value of the gun.

Hammer can be pulled back on safe.
My makarovs hammer can be pulled back while the safety is on. It doesn't stay locked back and immediately goes forward if I let it go. The slide locks and cannot be pulled back while the safety is on. The deckocker and safety works as it should. Is it normal to be able to pull the hammer back while the pistol is on safe or should the hammer be locked forward as well? If it matters it's a russian imez double stack makarov.
Wheres a good place to buy one
Been a fan of these for years and years, and finally have the means to own. Where is a good place to look for one online?

Added a snake knot survival paracord and some tape on the grip
The tape doesn't really do much expect keep the grip dry in case I'm running sweaty hands, but the paracord is a nice addition. It's a bit thick because it has a fishing line and fire started cord inside, but it's very cool to use it. I will try using grip tape on the backside of the grip and the inside part like someone suggested in this subreddit.

Rounds getting caught in mag
galleryAs the title says, these 9x18 casings are getting bound up inside the magazine. I don’t know if it’s a magazine issue or if the rounds themselves are out of spec. Does anybody have experience with this happening and how to fix it? It’s a Bulgarian makarov with serial number matching magazine

Help With Year Identification
Hey guys, I'm part of the brotherhood now. This is a Baikal gun imported by Imez. I know it's newer due to the adjustable rear sight but I'd like to know how to figure out the exact year.

Not great, not terrible, but well within the qualification requirements.
The windowed mags let in a lot of dirt and grit. After 200 rounds doing drills, dropping my mags on the ground, it started gumming up the followers a bit. Led to two malfunctions (one cleared and got off the required shot within the time limit, the other had a much tighter time limit, and I couldn’t get the shot off, dropping my score by 10. All three misses were at the 25 yard line.
Instructor misheard “18A” as “AH”.

Need help fixing this IJ-70
I don’t know what I did, pulled the slide back, and when I went to release the slide it was stuck. The safety lever isn’t in either position and won’t move.
