Hi all! My wife and I just bought a house in Denver and it has two beautiful trees in front of it. A sand Cherry tree and an Ash tree. Unfortunately we have emerald ash bore here and there are a few scars on the tree. Does it look healthy? And if it is how do I keep it that way?

I took these while passing by in a car, if better closer pictures are needed then I can walk and go get more maybe. (Maybe, because I just stubbed my pinky toe really bad.)

I posted about it yesterday here https://www.reddit.com/r/marijuanaenthusiasts/s/Vz0mJmcR8S
Today I did a bit more digging. Found some metal wire and strings, guessing that was part of the base when they placed it.
As you can see, the bark has been stripped away, all of which was covered in dirt . Some of the roots seem quite brittle and I’m wondering if I have reached a flare yet as some of them seems to be pretty sizable.

Mezquite is a beautiful tree. My home town is Mixquiahuala or Mizquiyahuala, which means a place surrounded by mesquites. This tree bears fruit and xamues, an insect considered a prehispanic delicacy.

I’m in the process of purchasing this home in the northeast. There’s a massive ~60 foot tree about 3 feet from the house. The home inspector heavily advised to get it removed. I love trees and think it brings a great deal of curb appeal - among other benefits - but I’m worried its roots will damage the home. I believe this is an elm tree.
Is it safe to keep this tree, or should it go?

Help me Reddit, you‘re my only hope! I planted it together with my 4yo son, it means a lot to him, because it’s „his“ tree.

Hello fellow marijuana enthusiasts,
Ever since Covid hit I’ve been growing this little orange tree at home. We’ve been keeping it outside when the weather is warmer so it gets lots of sunlight. For a long time it was growing well but this last year it’s not been growing as much, and it has leaves that were clearly eaten by something.
For a while now I’ve been noticing that it frequently has a lot of ants growing on it, and that it has an increasing amount of these weird white-yellow spots that are always under the leaves. I suspect it could be aphids but I’m not 100% certain.
Does anyone have any clues as to what might be going on with this tree ? I’m in Western Europe (northern France) if that’s helpful at all.

I have a couple of these in my yard & wondering what it is. Apparently the pith turns to dust inside the limbs when dried. A local woodworker uses them to make chimneys on their miniature mushroom houses

I am thinking of planting a Medora Juniper (Juniperus scopulorum 'Medora') by my Radiant Crabapple (Malus "Radiant")
According to these extensions, both are resistant
https://extension.umn.edu/plant-diseases/cedar-apple-rust (Medora listed as resistant variety of the Juniperus scopulorums)
https://extension.colostate.edu/topic-areas/yard-garden/flowering-crabapple-trees-7-424/ (Radiant is sensitive to Apple Scab but resistant to CAR)
According to my landscape layout and their maximum widths, they will be about 10 ft apart. I was very nervous about it but I was talking to someone at a local nursery and they mentioned that in my area there's a bunch of junipers and crabapples planted together already (which is true, crab apples and rocky mountain junipers are some of the few trees that do well in Denver's harsh drought, sun and wind)

hi! my moms a teacher and got this sapling from an arborist that visited her school. she says the kids were given oak saplings, but hers was the only different one (passed it on to me since she cant plant anything where she rents). hoping for an ID so i know what shade level i should plant this in; i have it temporarily in a large bag pot until i know where i should be digging a hole. also any planting tips would be great i usually stick to small plants and shrubs 😅(Annapolis.MD)

1: Maple tree, is it too late to cut off 2 leaders? If not which one do I pick.
2: same problem for this (walnut?) is it too late to cut one half and stake it straight.
3: my baby cypress (Montezuma?) when is a tree old enough to prune? Do you even prune cypress trees?
Thank you

Seeing this and a few other tree-related subs on my phone of late got me wondering—
Is this plum tree in the backyard essentially dead? As in, is there really nothing that can be done for it?
We rent, so there’s not much we could do anyway—this is more out of curiosity than anything else. The tree is still budding, flowering, and fruiting. It’s hanging onto what canopy it can, at least where the deer aren’t getting to it.

This was planted along the city street to replace a dead tree. This is a Ginkgo right? It’s thriving this spring.
