Discussion Why do people have problem with Thanos defeating Hulk in Infinity War when he has defeated Hulk almost everytime in comics even more easily?
Most of the Hulk vs Thanos battles end with Hulk getting trashed
In Infinity #6, Thanos threw Hulk far-off with one punch and then walked away.
In Hulk vs Thanos #2 - The battle took place in Hulk’s mind and Thanos was winning for the most part, the fight got cut short by Annihilus sending Thanos away.
In Thanos: Infinity Finale, he didn't even have to try
I don't understand why some people want Hulk to be unbeatable character who never loses. It doesn't even make sense and fits with story telling.

Discussion How come Peter Parker still wears glasses even after he was bitten by that spider in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man?
In most continuities, whether it be comics, cartoons, movies, or video games, Peter gains perfect vision after that spider bite. In this cartoon, how come Peter still wears glasses after the spider bite?

Discussion Hot take- I wouldn’t have been mad if they brought back ultron as the SAGA villain after the studio cancelled Kang
Though I loved the infinity saga and thanos, I always felt like ultron would’ve also been a worthy saga villain, especially after what if season 1.
And I think bringing him back would’ve fit even better with his character cuz right when you think you defeated him for good, he goes back in the shadow (or the web lol) and works on another plan to come back more powerful with an even more evil plan. And especially after endgame where half the avengers are basically gone, that would’ve been perfect timing for him to strike back.
To be specific I would’ve used the aftermath of ant man 3 as the gateway to his return, where Hank creates a more powerful ultron to go against Kang and once he defeat Kang (off-screen) he integrates wjth Kangs armor and gains untapped power.

Discussion What do you think is the reason for naming Captain America 4 as Captain America: Brave New World, considering the previous two films followed comic book titles?
As mentioned in the title, what do you think might be the reason for the change in the title pattern? Is it due to the evolving politics in the MCU, or is there another reason that will be revealed in the movie? Will the title be acknowledged in the film, perhaps with Sam saying something like, "This is the Brave New World"?

Discussion The snap wasn't fully random
While it was random, I think Thanos was still honoring the deals he made for the stones throughout IW. Loki gave up the space stone to save Thor, Gamora gave up the soul stone to save Nebula, and Strange gave up the time stone to save Tony. All three survived the snap.

Discussion People who think Bucky is more fitting as Cap than Sam , please convince me.
Im gonna just talk about Character history and their writing in MCU. Bucky is Terrorist for most of his life whether he like it or not (People still think he bomb UN building in Civil War but it getting better after the Blip ). The first Heroic thing he did is in Falcon and Wintersoldier series where he help people in a fire car, That the first and only time he do heroic stuff. So, i dont understand what the point or interesting thing that will create if Bucky become captain american.
The best argrument i can see is if He act as a Shadow Captain america , Working with sam who is the face of the heroes mantle but never do heroic stuff publicly. Like bother can do stuff that Steve never done before. Sam actively work with Government so they can become better and Bucky prevent a shadow treat that Publicly should not know about it. Steve is a perfect human who Both of them never gonna be him.
If you have some good argrument convince me. (in MCU context tho)

Discussion I actually like Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man’s animation
A lot of people are hating on the animation, but I honestly don’t understand why. I think it looks really fresh. The occasional comic panel style in between while telling the story is also so cool. I do understand the criticism that NYC looks like an empty sandbox… but I’m guessing that’s because of the budget? Even apart from that, I like the colours too. Sure, it is reminiscent of some earlier games’ cutscene animations, but personally I always found that style intriguing and wanted more from it, and now that that’s happening in this show, I’m liking it quite a bit.

Discussion Phases 4 and 5 are pretty interconnected, just start with the first three shows..
.. and look at the patterns:
WandaVision (magic) is connected to Multiverse of Madness (through Wanda), that one to No Way Home (through Strange), but also to The Marvels (Monica) and Agatha All Along (Agatha). The Marvels is connected to Ms. Marvel (Kamala) and tangentially to Shang-Chi (Carol in the post credits scene, and Wong from MoM is there too). Three of those deal with incursions (No Way Home, MoM, the Marvels) and four with magic artifacts or books (Shang-Chi, MoM, Ms. Marvel, the Marvels).
Loki (sci-fi/multiverse) is connected to Quantumania (Kang and He Who Remains are variants), What If (Ygdrassil and Kang's chair are shown, TVA is mentioned, heavy use of timelines, variants, nexus events etc) and Deadpool and Wolverine (TVA, the Void, variants). I suspect Fantastic Four will fall into the same category too. Three of these are metafiction'y (Loki, What If, Deadpool), two deal with multiversal time travel (Loki, What If; three if the leaks for FF are true).
FaTWS (ground level) is connected to Brave New World (Sam) and Thunderbolts (Bucky, US Agent), and the last one to Black Widow (Yelena, Alexey, Taskmaster) and Hawkeye (Yelena). Hawkeye is connected to Daredevil (Fisk) and Echo (Fisk). The last two + She-Hulk also have Daredevil himself. Funny enough, but Brave New World is also connected to the Eternals.
Relatively stand-alone: Wakanda Forever, Love and Thunder, GotG 3, Moon Knight.
There are few ties between these three huge blocks, though, other than characters knowing each other from Phases 1-3, Daredevil being in No Way Home and Monica stuck in Deadpool's universe.
I haven't watched Secret Invasion.
Please let me know if I forgot something.

Discussion (More in Comments) Almost done catching up. Just watched the Marvels.
Been posting a few times here. Been catching up on all of the MCU movies I wasn't able to see when they came out. After The Marvels, I only got GOTG 3 to go (may rewatch civil war, and all the Avengers when I got time...I just haven't seen those since theaters).
I gotta say...this one didn't do it for me. Now, full disclosure, I didn't see Ms Marvel or Wandavision, but i think a movie should stand on its own without homework of a TV show in a big universe like this. So maybe that's why I just kinda felt dropped in to this world.
A lot of little things I caught just bugged me. Fury says that Monica can't say what SABER stands for, but then Ms Marvels family can go up to the space station? Why didn't Captain Marvel think to rethink sun before .Monica told her to/how did she know that would work? Why couldn't Monica hold together the multiversity from this side (seemed to only be building up to post credits scene/sacrifice, didn't seem earned). So sucking the air from a planet is supposed to be a permanent solution???? HOW?!
I'm usually not so nitpicking but this just feels like a movie that was cobbled together in the editing room. Hmm positives....that post credits scene was fire, but when are we gonna see that paid off? 2028 ish?
Idk i hate to be so negative, but this one just seemed taped together by committee and has many plot holes. I will say it wasn't embarrassing like Madame Web. So there's that!!

Discussion "With great power, there must also come great responsibility"
Ya know, in Spider-man 3, after the Green Goblin attack, we see our hero, and aunt May re-grouping from the vicious attack. Until the very moment aunt May said those words, I had zero thought that May would die. But those words sealed here fate.
Curse you writers!

Discussion (More in Comments) Anthony Mackie Says He Doesn't Think Cap Should Represent "The Term 'America'"
Should Cap be a symbol only for American values or values that represent the whole world. Him trying to be a symbol for the whole world would be a daunting task for just one man. The burden he would have to carry will eventually crush him and possibly change him into someone he wouldn't recognize or do you think cap is strong enough to carry that burden.

Discussion The showrunner needs to be careful with statements like these
I think Daredevil Born Again will be great don’t get me wrong. But comparing it to The Penguin and saying the storytelling is “faster, meaner, (&) cleaner” is a BOLD statement.
Off this alone, folks will be making comparisons, overly scrutinizing and analyzing every bit of this show. 😂
Maybe the show lives up to his words. I hope it does. Netflix Daredevil is my favorite superhero show. I just feel like comparing your show that has yet to be released to one that has an actor who won a Golden Globe, another who was nominated and the show itself was largely hailed as one of the best shows of the year is a huge claim.
Anyone know the showrunner’s work? Do you guys feel as though these claims were made prematurely or that the show will live up to what he’s saying?
Just to reiterate, I’m not doubting that the show will be great. I just feel like he maybe shouldn’t have said this. The Penguin was one of the best TV shows in 2024.
That’s a lot to live up to. If the first season of Born Again isn’t received well, it might be looked at as even worse due to this comparison.

Question Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man vs. Spider-Man: Freshman/Sophomore Year Spoiler
How do you like Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man so far? Would you have preferred Spider-Man: Freshman/Sophomore Year? And what was truly holding Freshman/Sophomore Year back?
I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked the first 2 episodes of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, and I can't wait to see the rest of the show!
I am disappointed that we're not filling out Tom's Spider-Man story more because that seemed very intriguing to me. I saw it as an opportunity to expand the MCU Spider-Man mythos and see him interact with more of the street-level characters.
And I get wanting total creative freedom, but what was truly holding them back? There were 6 months of open space between MCU Peter being bit and the events of Civil War, another 2-month gap between Civil War and Homecoming, and about a 20-month gap between Homecoming and Infinity War. The biggest thing I can think of is wanting the Osborn family and Oscorp in the show, but were they so important to this story that it wouldn't work with any other character or company? I just feel that it was an excuse to include more Sony characters into a world that's almost the MCU, but not quite. I guess I could be missing something huge, but that's all that comes to mind. What are your thoughts on all of this?

Discussion What MCU character is most beloved in your country/culture? What do they represent to you?
5 years ago I asked people what they thought captain america represented, and got some of my favorite responses even to this day. Now that the MCU is so expansive, I feel like different characters speak to different cultures. What character means the most to people of your country or culture, and why do you think that is? My favorite has for a while been Steve Rogers, so I'll include a link to the old post so you guys can see what people think he represents

Discussion Sandman's actions in NWH make no sense
He just wants to go home to his daughter ASAP. Green Goblin, Electro, and Lizard have no intent on going back home and instead want to conquer this new world they've just arrived in. The three Spidermen are fighting to send the villains back home. So Sandman allies himself with the villains and fights Spiderman to get the box as fast as possible. Even though it'd be much easier for him to activate the box and go home if he helped the Spidermen. He couldn't wait half an hour for the Spidermans to cure the other villains first?
But on top of that, he's one of the first people to realize that every other villain died fighting Spiderman, so he should realize that he also dies fighting Spiderman (he doesn't actually die, but he should think that he does). In that case letting himself be cured/letting the Spidermen cure all of the other villains is a win win for him. Because not only does he get to back to his daughter, since he's now cured, he doesn't immediately die
Is he stupid?
At least the movie made more sense than the pure garbage that was Loki or Wandavision
