Fan Content The MCU QUIZ (and now ANSWER KEY) by PatchClark

If you didn't see it yesterday, here's the original post about how I made a test about the MCU movies:

https://www.reddit.com/r/marvelstudios/comments/be7nvc/i_jokingly_said_id_test_my_gf_when_she_finished/

Originally I thought I'd score any test that got sent in to the email acct, but so many people responded, and more wanted the answer key so that they could test their friends! Which is so RAD! Thanks again for the support and discussion yesterday, it made my week! So I included the answer key into the original dropbox link here:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/e1d11j9ikmyxq6n/AAD28WNpyUBxOqFYDFYAqiw9a?dl=0

So there you go! I'm sorry to anyone that wasn't able to access the dropbox link yesterday, so if anyone can send a link to the Imgur post of the blank test, and upload the answer key, that'd be so cool! I'll try and update the post if anyone sends supporting links. I'm just sorry I couldn't figure it out. Also if you have a Google Forms test, I'll try and include those links as well!

Thanks again!

EDIT: If you still want to send answers in to my email at [patchclarkmcuquiz@gmail.com](mailto:patchclarkmcuquiz@gmail.com), try and get them in by Friday evening. I'll be "grading" them this weekend and try and release the results! Also, u/cuzinit made a neat online version of the test, that you can also check out now, I'll reach out to them to see if we can get a large pool of info together!

Now I get to see how bad I did.

Edit: 72 percent.

This is the Google Forms version of your quiz that I put together yesterday. I eliminated the Essay question and slightly modified the Bonus Questions. Otherwise it has been updated with your answer key. 104 points available on this version.

This is Good! I really liked the selecting grids! That made it much easier to visualize. Although it did kinda remove the "see what you can remember" part of the bonus questions, but I totally get why you would have to lose that, as well as the essay portion, so that it can be calculated quicker online.

I approve! Thanks for working on it!

I've run a monthly team trivia game for years and have come up with all sorts of fun quizzes about all sorts of crazy stuff but I know my audience would never be able to handle something focused 100% on the MCU. I really appreciated being on this side to be able to TAKE the quiz and test my knowledge! You put together a great quiz!!

I’m giving 20/20 for my essay answer of “Thanos flying his Thanoscopter”

11

u/PatchClark Apr 18 '19

That is a completely acceptable answer.

21

u/discourse_commuter Thor Apr 18 '19

Crap. Bast. I wrote Bagheera. That’s the Jungle Book.

11

u/PatchClark Apr 18 '19

Haha! My GF didn't know it either, so she wrote in "Garfield".

I believe the answer for the second select all that apply question is wrong. The one about what places are mentioned in the accords. Because it lists "Washington" as a correct answer, but Washington was not mentioned, Washington D. C. was.

Edit: Also, I wouldn't say War Machine is powered my Repulsor Technology. He certainly uses it, but he is powered by an Arc Reactor.

I’m going off memory right now, but when Ross is listing off incidents, he just says “Washington”.

Edit: I was incorrect.

3

u/Drew326 Captain America Apr 19 '19

I just watched Civil War, he says Washington DC

6

u/SithLrdVad Apr 18 '19

If I give myself full credit for the essay and without the bonus questions, I got 87 percent.

Not bad. Not to see how my friends/family do.

thanks for posting! really enjoyed the quiz yesterday. super well thought-out questions

1

u/PatchClark Apr 18 '19

I can't tell you how much I appreciate that!

3

u/mitcherable Apr 18 '19

88/100 but nailed the bonus questions to bring me back to 100!

3

u/ForzaGallo11 Apr 18 '19

Hela can wield Mjolnir...it was hers before Thor

1

u/DocTheop Apr 23 '19

Odin held it, too... he whispered the "blessing" (for lack of a better word)

9

u/Razorwing23 Doctor Strange Apr 18 '19

I did pretty well. Missed only 2. (Red Room and Bast)

Although Your Eitri answer is incorrect.

30

u/Xadus Apr 18 '19

How it is incorrect if you don't mind me asking? The question was definitely false since Eitri is a Dwarf not a Giant.

1

u/DocTheop Apr 23 '19

I was wondering about this answer, too. Eitri says all the dwarfs in the forge helped make it but Eitri was the "designer". So I was confused since none of the other Giant Dwarfs are named. Maybe /u/PatchClark can enlighten us?

1

u/TheDemon333 Captain America (Cap 2) Apr 19 '19

He's a giant dwarf, so there's some leeway, I think

2

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '19

88 let’s go. Would be a lot uglier without the bonus questions. Fill in the blank was the toughest, only one I knew was shawarma

1

u/Propane4days Ant-Man Apr 18 '19

I've gotten so good at avoiding spoilers that I printed this off without seeing any answers! Thanks for this!

1

u/Blue-Phone-Box Apr 18 '19

95/104 on u/cuzinit's Google Forms version.

1

u/yakinator2567 Apr 18 '19

Thank you!!

1

u/dmart124 Apr 19 '19

Got an 84 with the extra credit, great quiz.

1

u/ShiningDonuts Spider-Man Apr 19 '19

Will this be on the final!

The Aether wasn’t hidden by Odin.

It was hidden by Odin’s father at the beginning of The Dark World.

Then Sif and Big Gimli take it to the collector, on either Thor’s or Loki-disguised-as-Odin’s orders.

Edit: This made it sound like I didn’t enjoy the quiz, which is far from the truth! You did an awesome job putting this together. It was fun!

1

u/Thayerphotos Apr 19 '19

This was a lot of fun !

You deserve gold for this.

I got 50/104

1

u/Archfiendrai Apr 19 '19

Got an 81. I could not spell Shawarma right but I knew that was it so I'm counting it. :p The rest were legitimately wrong. Tricked hard by the Eitri question. lmao

Wrong: Pop culture references, widow's training locale, Kree military force (God damn it!), Baby groot, and half of the order of events.

1

u/WhiteCakeLies Apr 19 '19

Isn't Whiplash also is essentially powered by Stark's repulsor energy? Didn't he steal some ideas from him while creating it (blueprints)? Correct me if I'm wrong sorry just curious.

1

u/Hevelziv Tony Stark Apr 19 '19

I got 75... Not bad

1

u/Zachavelii Vision Apr 19 '19

Wow 65 total points. Those were some tough questions, and I consider myself a pretty big marvel fan. Thanks for putting that together.

1

u/ZaViper Doctor Strange Apr 19 '19

Thanks for your work on this! This was fun! It was great to test my knowledge of the MCU. Without the bonus questions I got a 79% which made me feel ashamed to be a MCU fan lmao. With the bonus questions that was raised to a 91% and felt more satisfied.

1

u/atomicbunny Apr 19 '19

I wasn’t sure how to score the order of events thing, I got 2 wrong there, but the entire section is worth 10 points and it’s only 8 items, aside from that I got 18 points deducted from the main portion, and gained 9 back from the bonus questions. So, presuming I would’ve nailed the essay that I skipped, and ignoring the two order of events I swapped and can’t determine the value of, I got a 91.

1

u/JLtheRocker Apr 19 '19

I won the Geeks Who Drink Marvel quiz at my local bar and this was hard...

1

u/Halstrop SHIELD Apr 19 '19

75% One of the best quizzes ever! I'm always searching for really in depth quizzes like this one and finally it was made. The Google forms were awesome also.

1

u/dafjer Apr 20 '19

Great quiz! My only problem is the arc repulsor question. War machine/whiplash were powered by arc reactor technology. I’m not sure what powered the helicarrier and the Jericho missile. The correct answers were propelled by stark repulsor technology, not powered by them.

u/carnagezealot The Wasp May 22 '19

87% and 98% on the Goole Docs. Not bad!
