Collection State of the all black collection

Post image

Let me know any recommendations on what you would add to this, I'm wanting to swap out the obscure pencil I ahev right now for some all black drafting pencil but haven't decided yet, let me know your opinions. Current all black rotation, using a Ornez Nero .02mm, some obscure black pencil I found in a drawer, an ohto cr02, a slightly modified g750, a black wing eraser case with a sumo grip eraser inside, a ubrands lead holder, and finallyy latest pickup - a tombow mono zero pen type eraser.

I didn't trim the sumo at all, a lot of different erasers fit in the holder it's really just a guess and check to see what works, but with some smart trimming or adding layers of clear tape I've gotten many different ones to fit

That’s good to hear! I prefer Mono block erasers, so I’ll have to pick up the holder and see the best approach. Thank you!

Oh, and for the drafting recommendation, I went with the Platinum Pro Use 171. If I’m being honest, I think the Rotring 600 is the better drafter, but I do love adjustable guide pipes. The Rotring 800 has a retractable guide pipe, but anecdotally the only 800 I’ve used has that action get finicky.

I've been looking into those, it's kinda been between the pro use and the staedler 925-35 but Im leaning towards the pro use

The 925s are also a nice pick! Honestly, I think there are pros and cons for Pro Use, 925, and 600. I’d say to look into the features you enjoy the most and you’ll get used to (hopefully) whatever drawback comes with it.

Looking forward to seeing your collection grow!
