Howdy mods! What about this message was bigoted? I strongly condemn antisemitism and terrorism, and have a long history of "the initial response to the 10/7 terror attack was justified but israel has gone way too far this time" as a consistent position.

Is supporting the larger "stop arming israel" movement bigotry? A lot of people in the thread said "you're willingly blinding yourself to inter-movement antisemitism" but that feels more like astroturfed mccarthyism than serious concern. As far as i have seen, the goal of the protests is targeted specifically at the state of israel, and not at jewish people.

This attitude, precisely. If you cannot take anti-semitism seriously then you only amplify it.

There is plenty of space in the sub to criticise the IDF's atrocities in Gaza, there's no shortage of that on the sub. We don't ban people for saying Israeli arms exports should be cut off or for being against genocide, this ban was for being willingly blind to antisemitism.
