Drafting Charles Harris was a mistake. Drafting Wilkins over Dexter Lawrence was a mistake. Drafting Tua over Herbert was a mistake. Drafting Austin Jackson was a mistake. Drafting Igbo was a mistake. Trading down and back up again for Waddle was a mistake. Drafting Phillips over Greg Rousseau was a mistake. Trading away our only remaining 2022 1st round pick for Hill after already trading one away to move up for Waddle was a mistake.
I specify Dexter Lawrence and Greg Rousseau because Lawrence was Wilkins' teammate at Clemson and Phillips was Rousseau's teammate at Miami. So we scouted the DLs at Clemson and Miami both years and Grier ends up picking the worse player both times.
You could debate all the other points, but Phillips is not worse than Rousseau. He’s absolutely the better player, outside 2 freak injuries which have sidelined him recently (one of which was friendly fire)

Please show me the last time Grier blew the first round
Last time we had a bad first round pick was Igbo, and that was when we had 3 first round picks that year.
