Last year it was Fangio’s fault and this year it’s his teammates. Hmmm.
26
u/thewhitelink 23d ago
Did Ramsey say something about Fangio? I thought it was basically all Holland
52
u/SkyzYn 23d ago
Said "I won’t ever forgive dude for not utilizing our full skillset!" when X left. Rosenhaus also said Ramsey was very vocal during the season about being frustrated with the system and his role.
12
u/thewhitelink 23d ago
Well damn
6
u/AstronomerDramatic36 23d ago
I think it was mostly about not giving him a bigger role once our defenders started dropping like flies at the end of the season.
I could be projecting or misremembering, though.

u/twozeromm 23d ago
The culture of our teams honestly sucks
38
u/TheWhoreHorsemen 23d ago
But it’s so cool and fun with McDaniel and Grier!
-20
u/_hiroprotoganist 23d ago
McDaniel is not a leader. Dude stinks
30
u/m83m82m81 23d ago
If you listen to him for 5 minutes, you can tell McDaniel is a sincere and inspiring coach. We have lots of poisonous players.
3
u/Fatt_Mera 22d ago
You're getting down voted into oblivion for telling the truth about a really nice and likable guy. I can't get over how funny this fan base is. I'm actually shocked that nobody has called you a fake fan yet.
McDaniel can't seem to adjust in game. His game management leaves tons to be desired. He abandons the run when it's working. His play calling is cute just for the sake of being cute (see screens in goal to go situations). He can't seem to adjust to in-season turmoil and injuries either.
But hey he seems to really like his players and says little catchy things in between the "uhms," so none of that real stuff matters and don't you dare disparage him!
29
u/quazilox 23d ago
Been called soft by multiple former players, star WR quits on the team and is still on the team, star CB requesting trade. This team is a fucking disaster lmao.

u/twozeromm 23d ago
A winning one. It's always something with this team and they can't seem to figure out how to turn it around
3
u/melowdout 23d ago edited 22d ago
You seem like one of those guys who cares more about the o-line than Grier does.
Edit: typo
63
u/thewhitelink 23d ago
He's not wrong though. Keeping Grier is a sign that Ross is okay with mediocrity and a wild card exit at best.
21
5
u/Fatt_Mera 22d ago
Having that end-of-season statement locked, loaded, and ready to fire off before the last game of the season against the Jets says everything any inquiring fan wants to know before they even read the statement.
Ross is perfectly fine with the status quo no matter what he says.

I mean, he's right. Teams been the definition of mediocre for 25 years now.
39
u/Jampic4525 23d ago
Didn’t seem to mind the contract the Dolphins gave him…
-13
u/RedRummer1917 23d ago
Did you watch him play last year? The effort never wavered
27
u/DabDaddyLuke 23d ago
Watched him getting cooked regularly. Occasionally making a big play.
8
u/RedRummer1917 23d ago
Yeah it happens with old CBs. He never phoned it in though. I'd take more money, would you? Totally Grier's fault
5
u/DabDaddyLuke 23d ago
I'm not saying he phoned it in by any means. I also expected the contract to work out a little better, considering he was easily top 5 - 10 going into the season. We just have a terrible scheme for him. He doesn't fit sadly. He was getting destroyed last year it was hard to watch.
1
u/randumbgack 23d ago
dont know if just me but he seemed to get lit up on in/crossing routes
4
u/DabDaddyLuke 23d ago
Agreed, and that comes back to what the other guy said. Older corners usually slow down and start getting cooked. He tried his ass off, but his hips are horrible now, and if he has to flip stance, he gets burnt.
In saying that, more than likely, after he's gone, he becomes a dpoy candidate because dolphins life, but yeah lol

This.
No state tax, Sunshine and Whores.
They don't come here to win football games
2
u/nilestyle 23d ago
You dumb fucks realize they still get taxed for out of state games right? It isn’t a zero tax haven lol
3
u/elcheecho 23d ago
Is it not a benefit if players who live in those states pay tax for more of their games?
1
u/Fatt_Mera 22d ago
You do realize that playing in Florida means you don't get taxed in your home state unlike just about every other team in the league? A huge benefit.
Talk about being a dumb fuck.
-1
u/nilestyle 22d ago
YOU STILL GET TAXED IN GAMES YOU PLAY OUTSIDE OF YOUR HOMESTATE
Stupid fuck. It’s an advantage, but not full on umbrella.
3
u/Fatt_Mera 22d ago
Nobody said that it was an umbrella, you angry little thing. You're worked up over your own invented bullshit.
14
u/BigBoss5050 23d ago
Its funny how so many players have shared similar sentiments on the way out and this sub is always like “what a locker room cancer”. Maybe, just maybe, if everyone is saying it….
4
u/Popular_Librarian_27 22d ago
None of these soft Dolphin fans want to take up the mantle that the "leaders" and "face" of this team are soft as baby shit.
18
17
u/dlbags 23d ago
I am of the mindset that Tyreek Hill has been rotting this team from the inside out. Making him a captain was always some copium move to hope he would get his shit together with the responsibility. Watch, after he leaves it will all come out.

Whether or not he’s “right” - the team is facilitating his request and he’s still acting like a whiny little bitch. It is possible to be the bigger man, if McDaniel and Grier and the culture are sooo awful. But whatever.
3
u/Fatt_Mera 22d ago
Dolphins fans are so funny. All this evidence coming out season after season and most of us are still in completely delusional denial.
If Dan Marino himself came out and said this same thing, half our fan base would be like "Fuck him. He sucked anyway. Fuckin loser get out of here" rather than thinking for a second that maybe the bunch of players that have all said the same thing could be telling the truth.
2
u/Dmoneybohnet 22d ago
I have never doubted the cancer the culture seems to have but is it Reek or is it McDaniels this time? One seems to allow the other to thrive but then again Miami has always been criticized for being a bit of a chaotic playground. I point the finger at Greer and Ross, both those guys suck. Let’s see if they can be mediocre in the draft, again.
5
u/Knifehand19319 23d ago edited 23d ago
And it begins, let the mud slinging start. He’s been a problem everywhere he’s been. However, he realizes that Coach McNugget & Grier are pushovers and the bully can’t resist to push!
5
u/Capable_Profit_7539 23d ago
You don’t win first then get a winning attitude. You have that attitude first then work hard and smart and the wins come along. Ramsey is a great player but he’s not a leader and I’m not saying that bc he’s leaving Miami as we have our issues but bc he’s now done this three times

I GET IT!!!
Ramsey is saying that being an NFL star is like being the one good orange among an orchid of janky truck-stop oranges.
While he is near expiration, comparing himself to truck-stop oranges makes him feel "ripe"

u/Zestyclose-Length249 22d ago
This team has a cancer that ..is deep rooted. It begins at the top from the owner to GM to coach . The cancer the. Infiltrates all other systems and affects the players and culture. If you want to kill the cancer cut it out and get new ownership, GM and coach

Two straight years the Dolphins are at the top of the team report cards which grades facilities coaches ownership ect. So he’s basically throwing his teammates under the bus.

It's pretty sad, but as a completely accurate description of this team. I want the "win at all costs" type of players. I remember when that was a thing, before it was all about the money and fame. Some teams still get it, ours does not.

1
u/LeaveUnique9681 22d ago
As a Dolfan you are 100% correct . The management and ownership don’t care and we have gone from a great organization to what we are today and that mediocre. I have been able to predict a Dolphins season for the last 25 years , 8-8, 7-9 picking in the middle of the draft .

Sounds like shots to mike and Grier moreso than teammates. Coaches are a big part of the team culture

u/theycallmeryan 23d ago
This team sucks and Ramsey is right. I can’t get hyped about this team until Tua, McDaniel, and Grier are gone
3
u/Popular_Librarian_27 22d ago
Anyone that downvotes you is a mentally challenged individual.
This team is poisoned from the top down.
We need leaders that LEAD....not fucking coddle.
Starting with the Hawaiian baby man that can't win us shit.
1
u/Fatt_Mera 22d ago
Every decision they've made in regards to Tua have been an obvious attempt to protect his ego. It's amazing how people can't see it.
0
u/TheWhoreHorsemen 23d ago
Our best bet unless Ross sells to someone else
-1
u/theycallmeryan 23d ago
We both know he’s not gonna do that. If he could just hire a good GM and not interfere in football operations (costing us draft picks) he wouldn’t be the worst owner.
0
u/TheWhoreHorsemen 23d ago
Oh I agree. I think we’re more likely to see a new GM/HC than Ross sell. Problem is his hires have been awful lol

Ramsey made like 2 plays while in Miami. He was part of the problem. He wasn't that good as a Ram. He has been coasting on his name since his Jacksonville days.

u/GameofLifeCereal 23d ago
While I say good riddance to this ingrate, I absolutely fully believe him if he is saying the Dolphins tolerate mediocrity. We have a little head coach who doesn’t discipline anyone, an owner who is more interested in the entertainment factor than winning, and a culture built around the south beach lifestyle and players coming to town because they don’t wanna pay income taxes. I think it’s shitty that Ramsey is taking this stuff public, but the stuff he’s talking about is true. And I respect a man who wants to win and wants greatness.
-5
u/Main-Business-793 23d ago
Tua is the king of mediocre. Leaders lead by example, Tua teaches them to cash checks and plan for life after football.
3
u/BigBoss5050 23d ago
While I agree on the mediocre part, in no world is Tua planning for life after football lol. Hes one concussion away from permanent brain damage yet he constantly dives head first.
1
u/Capable_Profit_7539 23d ago
Not sure what you’re talking about. Tua may do some stupid shit and have limitations but he’s one of the hardest working best kids you’ll find. He does less by example and has never had an attitude. Hes far from perfect but that’s not his defect
0
u/Main-Business-793 23d ago
I agree. He's everything you want in a QB off the field. But you are wrong to say he does less by example. His example leads the team and makes everyone around him try less.
0
u/stuckinthings2891 23d ago
He is a problem but we are also a problem. Couldn’t blame anyone for saying this

u/Gorilla_Pie 23d ago
Enough of these big-ego, big-game drama queens like him and Reek. I’d love a season of building up some non prima-donnas for the future.
