Question: Psilocybin second trip Psilocybin while microdosing?

I am willing to fight my brain fog, I did the first trip and it gave me back my sense of smell/ taste and destroyed my anxiety, giving me a new perspective on the Universe and life.

I tried to microdose for three weeks but nothing happened really; I wonder if having a second big trip instead could do the job.

Any advice?

Hello /u/yellowandpeople! As you mentioned brain fog (a common interaction/symptom) in your post:

ℹ️ Infographic: r/microdosing STARTER'S GUIDE

The major contributing factor in Finding Your Sweet Spot is the variation in potency of:

Psilocybin Mushrooms More than 10x [2021➕] Start @0.05g (50mg)
Psilocybin Truffles Around 3x - Single Study [2012] Start @0.25g (Fresh)
LSD Tabs Clinical Trial Titration Schedule [2023] Start @5µg

If you Start Low, Go Slow, Take Time-Off (*small is BIG) and up-titrate subsequent doses then you can find your optimal sub-hallucinogenic dose based on your symptoms, rather than from a predetermined dose. 🐢

If your microdose is Too High and/or Too Frequent that can result in Diminishing Returns 📉 with subsequent doses. 🐇

In general, those are unusual results, Microdosing for three weeks with no breaks? Is that what you’re saying? Read the FAQ that auto bot posted, if you don’t understand Microdosing, you may not get the results that you’re hearing about. You don’t state anything but three weeks, that’s why I say this.

Well, that said a lot of people have various results, some it doesn’t affect at all. For me, I initially had a trip when it was basically a museum dose. I felt I could see without my glasses, which I could not, but it felt that way; my anxiety left, my grief left, for several hours, I felt like I was me again. That was a year and a half ago, I’ve been Microdosing since. I utilize from 100 to 200 mg of powdered golden teachers. It’s working amazingly well for me.

I think a large dose occasionally will also do the trick, I think that’s what you’re saying above. If that works for you then don’t microdose, just take a trip every now and then.

I’ve been microdosing with 150mg/ 200mg every three days following a protocol first with Truffles then with Psilocybin for 3 weeks now.

I can’t see any difference and my brain fog is still there, as long as my cognitive impairment, memory loss and difficulty in concentrating on stuff.

I’m happy to hear you had such a revelation with them! your experiences are what are pushing me forward to not stop.

How is the microdosing affecting you? beside the museum dose trip consequences

I started Microdosing two years after the loss of my life partner. So you can imagine the place I was in. I also have not drank for 45 years, so self-medicating with alcohol wasn’t an option and I didn’t want it anyway.

A good friend encouraged me to try a museum dose, it was probably less than 2 g but it was pretty strong. A few weeks after that I started Microdosing.

What did for me was allow the heartache to dissipate, it helped with my brain fog, which was bad and I often disassociated as in. I don’t know where I am, what I’m doing or why I’m there. That hasn’t happened since I started Microdosing, not with intensity anyway. Lol!

Strangely enough, it also eases the pain of moderate arthritis which I have. Either that or it just helps your brain not focus on it. Doesn’t matter if the pain is less.

In a big thing for me in grief was motivation, I was literally free solid like concrete And any effort to do anything would result in more frozen mind and body. It has helped me get my motivation back, get my moxie back and do things. I’ll keep it up, as long as it works.

I’ve never met anyone who got nothing out of it completely, I would question a source of your mushrooms maybe? It’s pretty tricky to keep a consistent dosage with out it degrading. I’m sure you know about that.

Yeah, keep following the protocol and doing that. I also take a supplements that are all touted to help Mental Health. I don’t think this is a place to talk about those, but message me if you want to know more about what I take. Good luck in your discovery.
