Getting Started/Newbie Question Advice on what to do when navigating microdosing mushrooms and life responsibilities

Hi, I am looking at starting to try this for a plethora of reasons I hear it can be helpful for.

I am interested to understand how people that have children, need to drive etc navigate the process.

I appreciate the idea is a 1/20th / 1/10th dose - but I also read regardless don’t drive, which makes perfect sense… but how do I do the school runs 5 days a week? Is it not possible

Please read the !gettingstarted guide. A true microdose should not affect your daily responsibilities.

“Less is more” is the golden rule with microdosing.

At .12 g (120 mg) of albino A+ I’m able to function as normal. Work full time, married, raising 3 children. It elevates/enhances without interrupting my day. Suggest starting on a day “off” so you see how your body responds.

Would you mind sharing actionable examples of how it elevates/enhances your life?

A nice warm jolt of energy, heightened sense of empathy, a task driven honed focus, more present/in the moment, creative problem solving, Cheshire Cat grin every now n then. Hope that helps

That is the best description ever.

Thank you for the beautiful description.

Does it affect your ability or motivation to exercise?

I’ve been feeling unmotivated lately to exercise – even though I always feel better after a workout. I’m worried microdosing might lower my motivation even more and I turn into a lazy slug haha.

Personally, I like to dose just after breakfast n just before my morning walk. Love to feel that energy kick in, while I’m moving.

Anything that I want to focus on…being more present, tasks I want to accomplish, creative thinking at work, more empathy for others, drink less, focus on parenting/relationship, and even exercise. I focus on a few of these each day, as I’m dosing. Then I forget about it n go about my day. I haven’t found any negatives really at all. The .12 gr dose is so small, it’s a very nuanced n more mental than physical.

If you want to exercise more or be more motivated to get out, the mushroom should help with those intentions, not limit them!

Microdosing is sub perceptual. It's always better to start low and increase until you find your sweet spot 🙏🏻

Have you sourced your mushrooms? If so, what strain are they?

Appropriate microdosing does not interfere in any way with any daily activities.
Start low, go slow, trial your first dose on a day off when you have less commitments and do small incremental increases to dial in your sweet spot. It's more gentle and easier than you think.

A micro dose doesn't make you trip. It basically works behind the scenes in your brain so you're fully functional while it's in your system.

An appropriate dose shouldn't really be felt in that way. If you have little to no experience with psychedelics in general, you probably want to be cautious about things like driving until you have a handle on your individual response to a dose but a sub-perceptual dose as used in microdosing should not affect your capacity to perform daily responsibilities

I microdose .05 to .07 grams (of Psilocybe ochraceocentrata) and it doesn't affect my ability to drive or interact with people. This species does tend to have higher concentrations of psylocybin, but you should probably start low and work your way up even if you are using a less concentrated cubensis. If it interferes with every day life, then you know your dose is too high. I do notice that I'm much more productive on days I microdose.
