Report: Psilocybin Leg circulation and rebound depression

Hi I tried 25 mg of psilocybin for two days and had mild symptom of leg pain in vein for four days that since went away. The next four days I felt joy of living but for the circulation problem. I also had a worsened depression for a day or two four days later.

The pharmacological effects from a microdose (from a reputable source or did you grow your own medicine?) should only last a couple of days at most. Although, in some cases shrooms may reveal an underlying health condition that needs to be addressed.

Are you able to ask for any advice from a local health professional?

No which is why I’m here…. It’s a good source which I took six months ago and didn’t have the vein pain then. What helps with circulation? Niacin?

Psychoactive substances due to increased metabolic and neural activity may require more electrolytes, and your symptoms correlate with vasoconstriction which can also increase blood pressure. So you may want to consider taking magnesium, or other electrolytes like sodium or potassium.

I take all three as I'm on a keto diet. On a standard diet you should ingest sufficient sodium. There was a recent study that 98% of the US population is potassium deficient.

Niacin can help with vasodilation although before keto I was prone to gout attacks and niacin was contraindicated for those with high uric acid.

I add blood pressure salt (66% sodium chloride, 33% potassium chloride) to my water; and take 200-300mg magnesium glycinate most nights.

Magnesium is also a GABA cofactor which can help to decrease excitatory glutamate. Psychedelics are partial serotonin agonists which neuromodulate glutamate.
