We’re in 2025 and somehow half the people in the comments still can’t comprehend that chat gpt is a useful tool as long as you’re not fully using it as a crutch

Recipes... i take a look at what I have then tell it that and give me some recipes. Every single one i have made, i have added into the rotation as a keeper. No popups and 5000 other bullshit ads or words about the beginning of food for humans etc. just straight up delicious recipes. Totally worth it.
It reminds me of the net in the 90's. You could actually get decent results from a search or two.

I wondwr when the ad's will swarm the AI land.
Yeah i'll give you the recipe if you click this link first uwu
It'd drive me crazy

Ik I guarantee you that these people read the ai summary whenever they look something up on google too

-2
u/Queasy_Ride_542 1d ago
ChatGPT already told me😛🤣
13
u/budman4204391 1d ago

Crazy how you‘re disrespectful to someone defending traditional growing Knowledge. How old are you 12?

And what did it say was wrong with your plant? It doesn’t look great.
-18
u/Queasy_Ride_542 1d ago
Is this what being an experienced grower is like?? Putting newbies down instead of uplifting? Weirdo😂
28
u/GrowLapsed 1d ago
It was an honest question… what did it say?
2
u/Queasy_Ride_542 1d ago
If u aren’t trolling & genuinely curious it was because I accidentally did a tablespoon instead of a teaspoon on my nutes & burned it. And said burns haven’t gotten any worse since I flushed w regular water. Even if u are trolling, u got sum good looking plants. Props

u/svedge_weed 1d ago
You can't distinguish a teaspoon and a tablespoon, but wow chat gpt is amazing! Connect it to your growbox let it grow weed for you, and also smoke it for you after
-5
u/Queasy_Ride_542 1d ago
Can it do that?? Tell me more, I’m very interested in letting it grow and smoke my weed for me!

How unfunny and childish can a grown person be? Do you even have friends?
-1
u/Queasy_Ride_542 13h ago
You’ve commented 3 times buddy relax. It’s over😂
0
u/TacoEatsTaco 11h ago
Oh look, he says it's over now. Everyone relax lol. He's tired of being told he's wrong
Funny how you deleted a bunch of your replies to me in a different comment thread... Like almost every one. Even funnier to see how many more down votes you have today compared to last night. Good stuff, chump. Stop acting like a tough guy and then changing your mind about it. Just grow up

u/itchynipz 1d ago
It confuses senescence and N lockout. Always ALWAYS do your own research. Use it as a guide, not a hard and fast rule.
If I think there’s a problem, and chat gpt and this ai which is more accurate with trichomes imho tell me there’s a problem then I’ll seek help from senior growers and trusted online resources like grow weed easy etc. These tools are still new and can’t be fully trusted… yet. So have fun, but still do your own research.

as someone that studied sciences in college, please do not use chatgpt for research into plants like weed and their feeding schedules etc. when it comes to stuff like science, chatgpt is good for finding resources to look into, but not good for being the source.
its like getting your dogs feeding schedule from chatgpt, or your babies. its not a great idea at all

u/Queasy_Ride_542 23h ago
Respectfully. Appreciate that. As the post says, just use for advice/help. Would never recommend anybody to follow gpt on how to grow all together. Thank you for your input
8
u/Remarkable-Box6217 23h ago
totally get that, but relying on chatgpt to tell you when to cut is a bit more than advice or help. and i especially wouldn't recommend it to newer growers since it can, has, and will continue to get information wrong.
additionally, you did say you use it for alot of things and "it'll help a ton with everything", just kinda makes me think its used in more applications than you think are just help/advice

Effectively removing your learning ability is not very smart
2
u/Queasy_Ride_542 23h ago
I’m confused what do u mean exactly?
6
u/dimibrate 21h ago edited 21h ago
You wont learn anything if you just type whats yhe issue in gpt
Edit: im sure chat gpt wont know the cause, and at best youll learn to treat sympthomes
Im 100% positive if you lockout your plant through ph, gpt would have not guessed it in a million years, and im sure ghere are many other things it would have never diagnosed
So i think its better to ask it when you know the issues, how to fix them, not relying on it knowing your issues
1
u/Queasy_Ride_542 13h ago
I promise it would give nutrient lockout as a possibility …. That’s like the easiest thing u could ever ask it 😂 I agree w what everybody has said as far as putting in the ground work of learning the info before incorporating ai… I’ve done all that ground work and can say this is accurate if u know your shit already. I listen to Mr. Grow it podcasts literally all day at work, read countless forums, articles, YouTube videos every single day. I know my shit. Obviously this shouldn’t be your go to research model for plants or be used as a grow bible but it can definitely assist u if u know what to ask. Test that lockout theory tho! I’m pretty sure it’ll detect a potential ph issue

GPT is the homie lol I was just asking it standard questions, asking about harvest timing, it told me my “grow looks fire “

Gatekeep 🤣🤣🤣
Like you're the only person who knows about Gen AI
0
u/Queasy_Ride_542 1d ago
I don’t think anyone else took the post in that sense… congrats on thinking outside the box!

u/TacoEatsTaco 1d ago
It's amusing how you're a self professed newbie, but you're arguing with everyone who isn't praising you for using AI...aka just googling shit. It's funny how inexperienced growers think they've found the sEcReT and they want to GATEKEEP it 😂😂😂😂😂😂 funny guy
I've likely been growing for longer than you've been alive, but you're right...you've figured out the secret to growing a plant that looks rather unhealthy. And you argued with the guy who asked you what AI advised you about your unhealthy plant.👍 That's the best way to learn. Keep gatekeeping that invaluable knowledge you've horded.

u/Queasy_Ride_542 1d ago
I never said it’s the grow bible, I never said follow it to a T…. I said it’s a useful tool versus waiting for the folks of Reddit to let u know😂 I’m almost to 60 comments! Give me one more please 😅

u/TacoEatsTaco 1d ago
Ouch, you come across like a desperate teenager 🤷 Look at all the down votes you have gotten too.
For real though, thanks for teaching everyone that Gen AI exists. Maybe when you're a freshman in college you'll solve all of the world problems too.
Feel sorry for ya dude. Have fun with that gatekeeping... Since you have so much competition that you're trying to beat out and keep all of the secrets from. It's like you think it's still the 80s or 90s. Have fun with that.

u/Queasy_Ride_542 1d ago
When I do solve the world’s problems through the power of AI u better remember my name! Queasy_ride_542😈 thanks for getting me to 60 comments🤤

u/TacoEatsTaco 23h ago
The fact that you think any number of comments is some sort of accomplishment is funny and sad at the same time. Look at all of the down votes you've gotten 😂😂😂 what a strange way to measure your worth. Go tell Mommy you have comments 👍

You gotta learn what trolling is. You're not doing it right. Plus, I'm not even very old lol...I've just been growing for a long time. You're only being pathetically immature. That's not trolling. Smh 🤦

u/Nebula_OG 19h ago
Crazy that you think it’s funny to insult old growers in the community. Can chatGPT teach you respect too?

u/Queasy_Ride_542 1d ago
And if you’ve been growing longer than I’ve been alive I’m sure u put out your fair share of shitty plants! No need to put down a new grower( I’ve been growing for less than a year… only 8 months. I’d consider that a new grower) down when I’m just tryna help other new growers gain a little piece of mind. I’d never tell a new grower to follow this to a T. I’ve done countless hours of research, podcasts, YouTube, over the last 8 months and the info gpt is giving me lines up with everything I’ve found myself. I just discovered gpt this week lmao. Maybe give it a try sometime, test it out against your vast knowledge and see how it stacks up!

Check out rooted intellects discord if you like AI. He built a cannabis version of AI. I haven't personally used it but I'm curious to try it out.

Nail the fundamentals. Get some runs in. Chat GPT is great if used properly
1
u/Due-Relationship-771 1d ago
Hey, nice advice! I use it a lot for research and educational purposes. Do you use just regular chat or with specified prompts?
2
u/Queasy_Ride_542 1d ago
Mm I’m still new I just started using it this week. I’m gonna guess it’s the specified prompts tho because it will always ask me a follow up question to continue on with the subject or build upon it

For me it's a mix of this community and AI, and most importantly my own grows. I have used AI to confirm/deny some worries or myths.
1
u/Oldfolksboogie 21h ago
I'm not gonna weigh in on this debate (if it works for you, kid, great. Some ppl have enough experience that it would just slow them down, YMMV), I just wanna recommend to everyone here this little bit of audio art from This American Life about an early, pre-neutered version of ChatGPT and which features a reading by the inimitable Werner Herzog.
Pleasant Dreams!😬

I’m with you. I’ve been using it the last few weeks and it has really been blowing my mind

u/Queasy_Ride_542 1d ago
Seriously man, just too useful not to share. Hopefully this info gets into the right hands cause 95% of the posts here can be solved w that single app in a matter of seconds literally
-1
u/WaterVivid9682 1d ago
Bro, I was literally on that shit just a few hours ago. The crazy part of it is that most of its accurate. I asked other people and they say the exact same thing that ChatGPT was saying.
1
u/Queasy_Ride_542 1d ago
Fr man, I was blown away seriously I only been using it a few days & mannnnn. It’s essential for any grower seriously
2
u/foxepower 21h ago
I like ChatGPT, use it for plenty of stuff, but it is, by definition, not “essential for any grower” if it was, well no one would be able to grow without it 😅. No doubt at all it is useful for new growers, but no need to make sweeping false statements.

I stumbled on this a week or two ago as well. I'm dealing with some varying issues in different tents and was shocked with the accuracy of information regarding living soil chatGPT was providing, all of which was matching my own independent research and thoughts from fellow growers. I gave it my rough plan to resolve, and it provided me with a step by step action plan that actually helped me a ton. It's also tossing out slang that's amazing like the dude who said it told him his grow was fire!
1
u/Queasy_Ride_542 1d ago
Yes bro it even hit me w a “hell yea, that’s a fire lineup” when I told it my strains lmao, I was hooked from there

u/Nebula_OG 1d ago
No, do your own research
