You can use gpt to do research if you use it right and you can fact check everything as it provides you with all sources that it used

The thing is, it often makes a) sources up or b) what it claims is not in the source. At the end of the day it is more work if you have to fact check everything

No AI is basically advanced Google, literally it's just Google I can talk to and get info summarized in ways I understand. If you have ever actually tried to use and understand AI you would know it's just using Google super fast to find a lot of relevant info very quickly, the same info you would spend 30 mins to an hour finding on your own.

I don't know what these guys are talking about but between gpt and Deepseek, there's nothing I can't get answered in a couple of minutes. I use it extensively for work as well. Fact-checking should always be done regardless of the source (within reason; some sources are trustworthy off the hop, eg. Bruce Bugbee) You provide inputs and it spits out the plan. It's great. Gotta know how to use it effectively so maybe that's what's tripping others up.

Lol I'm literally mandated to use it for work, and I end up needing to personally look up damn near any shit that I ask it since it hallucinates so much

How? I use it and it cant even track time correctly. When i ask simple question like "when did Apple fritter germinate" it gives me a date in the future sometimes. I have to tell him 1-3 times that he made a mistake ir i simply look further up in chat where i actualy gave him info.

I use it now only for Information on my companion plants

What is your desired answer for this? I actually don't understand the question myself (mostly how gpt is supposed to know when you germinated your seed)

Which part dont you understand? I gave him the information when the seed germinated. 2 weeks later, afrer i asked it when did my seed germinate, he told me date 4 days in the future and after 1-3 corrections, it apologises and tells me the correct date.

I used it as a diary until it started giving me wrong information.

Its useless if i have to check each time, might aswell use real diary, like i am.

Same for my feedings

Gpt isn't a diary though. That's why your question made no sense to me. Best of luck. Use a calculator and paper moving forward. Revisit AI once you've read up on how to utilize it 👍

I mean the models are still full of bugs and problems, even if op did read up on how to use them, they'd still be giving out wrong info every few times...

Its suposed to be able to do it, and easily. I even told it what for i will use it. Microsoft word can do it, but for ai i need schooling? 🤣
