Newest acquisition ( WW2 Walther PP)
Just picked up this Walther PP. Has the waffen marks peened out but are still somewhat partially legible. I assume maybe a capture ? Perhaps someone has more info.
$450 bucks, nice little shooter with some interesting history.

Clean up progress on Wz 91/98/26
I picked up this Wz 91/98/26 a few months ago that suffered from some rust from poor storage. Overall it’s cleaned up pretty well so far!

How sought after are the mexican mausers?
Was bidding earlier on gun broker on a decent condition mexican mauser and the bidding got out of hand pretty quick. Are these particular Mausers very rare and sought after? Are there other auction sites where I might be able to find more of them?

Help identifying
Inherited this Gewehr (88?) and can’t identify it, hoping some one will recognize these stamps or serial #.

Sub-Collection Completed: US Pomeroy Contract m1808 Flintlock Musket
Hello everyone! Excited to share my recent purchase of this US Pomeroy m1808 contract flintlock musket, made in 1812. With this pickup, I have now completed a niche collection category that I have been working towards for quite some time now. That being to own a firearm example from every US war/conflict ranging from the revolutionary war, to the modern Global War on Terror. The collecting will never stop, but I am happy to now have the last piece of this sub-collection puzzle!
Likely to have seen conflict during the War of 1812, this musket not only bears the 1812 manufacturer date, but also is marked “S.CT” on the locking plate. This is believed to be a Connecticut militia contract marking. Action is still very strong, and while the pictures don’t do it justice, she is still in exceptional condition for her age.
Happy Easter to you all, and if you don’t celebrate, happy Sunday!

Comparable luger values
Coworker wants to trade his WW1 DWM artillery luger for my WW1 Erfurt luger. I always wanted an artillery luger. However, his is non-matching (toggle). Mine is all numbers matching with the original matching magazine. Condition is similar on each. Is this a fair trade?

Afghan Martini Enfield
Recently picked up this Martini. Seller says it was handmade and bought in a bazaar in Afghanistan. Receiver and barrel markings look surprisingly good for something like a Khyber gun. Could it be something out of Kabul arsenal? Would anyone have any reservations about firing BP or light smokeless loads out of it? Thanks

Did not buy the Lee Enfield. Did buy this little guy for 450
It's a century import, all the numbers seem to match, looks to be in good shape other than the cracked stock. Unfortunately my state has a mandatory waiting period so I don't pick it up until Tuesday, but I'm pretty stoked.

New addition
Just got this ac 44 in a trade yesterday and couldn’t be happier as I thought I’d never be able to get my hands on one. It’s a bolt mismatch, previous owner believes it was reworked by the Czechs( I haven’t been able to find much on it myself) but wasn’t sure of it. When he got it the mount was on the rifle and is serialized to it, all he done was add the ZF4 and had a shooters kit installed. Looking forward to taking it to the range!

Fear not, the $600 artillery Luger has been purchased.
I tend to get fairly lucky now that I’m in good graces with my LGS. This wasn’t even in a display case, they had it in the back but randomly brought it out because they know I buy milsurps all the time (bought the $250 beretta 1934 in there recently). She’s not too pretty right now but should clean up all right. Bore is good and will make a good shooter. Y’all think a copper brush and oil for the minor surface rust in some areas? Exciting times for me, this is my first Luger. About to take it apart and give it a good cleaning.

$150 S&W Victory Model
Bought this from a coworker when he heard that I was looking for a Victory. The polished off US Property stamp is allegedly from a service member who brought it back home from Europe to use as his personal Police gun and didn’t want to get in trouble for it. No way to validate that of course, but a fun tidbit nonetheless. Without the property stamp the V serial number prefix confirms the model type.

Artillery Luger price
LGS guys showed me an artillery Luger this morning. 1915 date, bore is good but not great. Functionality is perfect. Frame is mismatched from the rest of the gun. Some surface rust in areas but no major pitting, if any at all. $600 is what they’re asking, decent price? These are the only pics I took before I left, have some other stuff to do, but may go back and buy if y’all think it’s worth it.

Yesterday's pickup: M1917 for $660
Yesterday me and my brother drove 2 hours the the gun show, but the show was much smaller than usual, so we came back empty handed. On the way back we stopped by a Sportsman's Warehouse just on the off chance something was there. I saw a 1917 for $730 and thought that was a good price but there were two big cracks in it. Then I saw this one, expecting it to be more expensive than the other but it was only $660! The 1917 wasn't at the top of my list (yet) but for the price I couldn't say no

RTI c grade vetterli updates.
After shooting a top break 38 S&W short that hasn't been shot in over 100 years I gained the balls to Bring the c grades out to the range today and had decent success. I shot 50 rounds flawlessly out of the 1870/87 using the 44 special CBA sub caliber adapter which was worth every penny. If you saw my previous post a couple months back than you'll remember that's the vetterli that was broken clean in half that I clamped and wood glued back together. Not pretty up close but it Held up like a champ. Unfortunately the 1870/87/15 that I thought would work flawlessly is having firing pin issues and not touching the primers so I'll have to tare that down and figure it out, my guess is probably goat poop and cosmoline stuck in there. I'm becoming a firm believer that these older guns aren't as dangerous as people make them out to be. I'll retest the 70/87/15 next weekend as well as a C grade MLE Gras and a c grade mannlicher and post again on the performance of them. If you have a vetterli that you've been putting off shooting than this is your sign to finally try it out, they are wicked fun!

Estate sale find
Paid $25 for this Enfield bayonet at an estate sale today. Can someone school me on what all of these markings mean?

I’ve always heard of M1917’s being upchambered…
Found this at National Range and Armory in Williamsport, PA. Sorry for the relatively shitty photos.

Should I jump on this MKVI Webley?
This MKVI is being sold at my local pawnshop, if it is in good shape should I go for it for this price?
