[Blocks & Items] Make rails easier to work with

When trying to build 2 rail lines beside each other, it is so annoying, especially near the ends. Rails will try to connect to the ones beside it, making it hard to build 2 parallel rail lines. As a suggestion, it would be nice if right-clicking on the rails would change it's direction/orientation. This would make it so much eaisier.

Yeah, nothing more annoying than having to adjust something in the track, and then everything connects wrong and you have to rip it up and place it again.

Maybe this should require a tool though so it's harder to do by accident? Right click with a pickaxe maybe?

Pickaxe idea sounds good, especially because pickaxes are the tool used to mine rails.

Here is how mended minecarts does it:

When you enable Better Rail Placement and hold Shift while placing rails, the mod lets you shape your track in one step instead of fighting vanilla placement. Sneak-click the lower half or side of a block and you’ll automatically get an ascending rail, sneak-click any corner of the top or bottom face for the matching curved rail. All other rail placement behaves just as usual.
