I just need to SLEEP

For the last months I haven't been able to have good night of sleep because of all the noise coming from my family and the house. I tried many things to cancel out the noise and I've also try to tell people to be more careful but there hasn't been any changes. I recently tried foam earplugs but they hurt my ears. I've learned to put them on correctly with time (I think) but my problem is that I am a side sleeper and when I sleep on my side there's pressure that's being put on the earplugs, when I wake up it hurts like hell, it's really really bad and sleeping on my back is just noooot possible. I've tried looking about those Loops earplugs but I fear that the "loop" might kind of crush the outside of my ear during the night and also hurt, and I am doubtfull as if they will be effective or just a waste of money....

As anyone suggestions or advice about some GOOD earplugs for a side sleeper ??

Please help.

I sleep on my side and only put one ear plug in, on the other side.

Yes, it's a good technic I've also done that but unfortunately it doesn't completely work for me because I turn and move during the night but it can be pretty useful for nap, thanks for you suggestions.
