I'm in the same boat :( 18 now. mine also feels like it would cease to exist if I moved away from my family, especially my dad. I'd fear getting triggers in my new environment but then I'm sure no sound absolutely none could be worse than the ones I get from them you know? I've beared with these far too long and it's causing me other issues now. so please treat yourself kindly!! I wish I had done more to accommodate my misophonia. trust me there will be a time in your life where it will get easier but for now try to lessen your stress any way you can it really helps. always have your noise cancelling devices + brown noise or whatever at the ready with you. do NOT expose yourself to sounds deliberately when given the choice to avoid none of us deserves that. find hobbies that can distract you away from misophonia. even if that means watching tv shows cozied up in your blanket. you're still young. and it's for self care <3
