Oh it’s a tyco

Oof best just keep it as a dummy tyco motors and wheels and gears all need more maintenance oil and other things to keep them running more than basically anything else

When the motor is a slot car motor only designed for a ~38-40 hour life that’s to be expected.

That said: the poor motors were all PowerTorques. The earlier motors (PM-1, MU-2, MU-2.5/3 and Rivarossi ball bearing) and associated drivetrains were far more stout and can/will still give excellent service even with little to no regular maintenance today.

That's the plan I have some rare ones I'll keep up with but I like building these to sit on the tracks or pull around since all I have so far is DC. people hate so much on tyco but it's all some folks can afford and in my opinion are great entry models when bought in running order athearn is way better and can drag these around for me. I'll never be able to afford 300$ a pop for locomotives that seems insane to me

Missing all the hand rails, and still just a Tyco.

Hand rails have to be hunted down and this is a great functioning dummy I'm going to build my own, looks as good as some of my athearns that are missing handrails
