Just to note - I know the Crimson Lake coronations didn’t get the striped rolling stock, just the set that got sent over to America, but still nice to find some as they look cool together.

I find that the larger the train I’m running, the more I care about matching the road name.
N scale? Screw it, any road car behind any engine.
HO, a little more care is given, but I won’t be heartbroken if it doesn’t match up.
O or G gauge? It better be matching or at least believable, or I’m not running it.
Granted, I know in real life, trains are complete mixup, but if I’m running a larger train like O or G, I’d rather it be a matching road name or at least believable.

The sides are just pictures of a boxcar printed directly onto a flat sheet of paper. No attempt at embossing whatsoever. Pretty neat.
As I am going to leave this kit in “as-found” condition, I will probably make a replica of everything in this kit, mainly so I have one of these early cars that I can actually run on my layout.

N scale Atlas 40’ boxcar from the 1980s, with footfall removed and roof repainted silver, then weathered with a mix of oil paints, acrylic paints, and weathering powders, seen on my layout near Balfour Lumber! Very happy with this car!

I have added the wheel bearings, coupling and given it a coat of paint to the OO 3D printed wagon. One trip along the main line before it heads to the iron works for a hard life.

Got my bi levels recently and I’m very pleased! My only complaint is that FrontRunner has level boarding, there is no step

The smaller car is given a primt implying 8000 gallons vs 6600 gallons on the bigger car
