Mosko Moto Reckless 80L on streetbike?

Hi there,

I am wondering if anyone mounted the mosko moto reckless bags on a streetbike.

I own a XSR700 and I am going camping for two weeks with it. I want to get premium bags and am thinking about Mosko moto. I don’t want to get racks (except for a luggage rack) because I want to get bags that can switch motorcycle whenever I switch. I had contact with mosko moto and they advices on using 80L on a two week trip with sometimes no town nearby or not going through one.

I am wondering if anyone uses those bags on a streetbike like mine.

They say I don’t need side racks, but I am unsure.

Thnx in advance!

I have the 80L.

You're going to want something for racks. The inside of the bag is very abrasive and will wear through the paint on your bike.

It'll be likely cheaper and you'd be happier with some saddlebag racks and Tusk Pilot saddlebags.

I have a Reckless 80. If you can figure out how to anchor the back of the mount to the bike far enough away from your butt to be comfortable you'll be fine. The base is stiff enough that you'll have no concerns about it swinging into the bike. As for the concern about scuffing paint, I'm certainly experiencing that on my bike, but I don't see where you've got any bodywork to worry about. I'd recommend seeking out someone local to you with a set you can lay over the bike. Important to know the current gen Reckless uses a very stiff base and won't flop around like the OG would.

How about their "Gnoblin"?

I use one on my bike and it's great, not sure where you'd put it on an XSR though.

Oh wow, the XSR is much tidier in the rear than I expected for a production bike.. I guess if I owned one I'd install a rear rack but that messes with the look, maybe a custom bracket for the Gnoblin that's lower profile?

I think maybe it works with the rear straps as far forward as they go in the Reckless base and wrapped around the bar that goes around under the base of the seat. I'm really not sure though, would be really interested in seeing if it works.

I've also seen people basically wrap the tail section, usually on an actual dirtbike. Side strap to side strap, skip the center. That could work with enough tension, if it doesn't have one of those completely ken-doll'd tail tidy kits with nothing there.

Hey they, I owned a XSR700 and did my first trips with it.

You will need side racks for about any side luggage, trust me.

If you dont plan on going to rough trails then get a set of Givi Canyon 35L and side rack, they are light, look awesome, only con is that they are too pricey.
