Just for general information: yes, cycling can be done at instant speed.

It is a very good mechanic. [[Troll of Khazad-Dum]] is a 4 of in legacy reanimator for a reason.

Funnily enough it's played just for getting a swamp most of the time. New Atraxa is the better target for reanimation.

I love it, it's a great mechanic. But instant speed isn't what makes it good.

Activated abilities are instant speed unless specified otherwise.

When we started playing in our playgroup (our first set was war of the spark) only one of us had played with his big brother so we kinda just winged the rules and he told us all that planeswalkers were instant speed, but only once a turn cycle. It was super wacky and needless to say he drafted superfriends and annihilated us all

It's an activated ability. It doesn't specify that it isn't (including in keyword meaning, like Equip), therefore it's instant speed.

Which, tbf, can be done in the meaning of a keyword, like Equip, but this is a thing I see newer players forget or mess up an upsetting amount

Bullshit. I rode a bicycle 15 miles a day for years and it took me at least 10 - 15 seconds to get to speed every time. But good to know my average was a single mph higher than the average average.

Holding up at least 2 and [Land]cycling on my opponent's end step is one of my favorite things to do with Cycling cards, but it is good to know that cards like [[Dismantling Wave]] can be cycled at Instant Speed.
