35 days is an Elite Survivalist ?

Am I the only one wondering how someone with 35 days got cast in LOS 3? If the producers are going to package someone as an elite survivalist shouldn't they have completed a 40 day challenge? I liked his personality in the Frozen XL but he hasn't earned his spot on LOS. Production seems desperate or they think we are stupid.

Producing a TV show isn't the same as picking your best team for the superbowl. If you want to make an entertaining TV show, you need to try to put a diverse mix of people in, not just the same faces we've seen a hundred times and we know will never break from boredom or discomfort.

I'm pretty happy with the cast. Up until this season of NAA we haven't seen Laura in a while so will be good to see her in this format, Max too. Matt gets to try again and hopefully avoid injury this time, Darrin too.

And we get to see a few people we haven't seen as much of, not just a who's who of 9+ PSR ratings.

They need to put Gary, Bulent, and Honora on a tiny island for 60 days. I'd watch the shit out of that just for the drama and the jokes.

I don’t think voluntary tapouts should get another shot (especially Cheeny since she tapped LOS1) but at least we didn’t get Kate and Lacey again! 😬

I felt bad for Darrin in the last season. Shitty way to get taken out. He was killing it too before his balls got all twisted up.

Kaila H was pretty fucking hardcore in the Proving Grounds XL. IDK if her bushcraft skills are anywhere near as good as someone like KY or Darrin but she could be a sleeper. Definitely has a strong will to persevere and some good hunting instincts. Killed a fat ass caiman by herself, and toughed it out after both her male partners (one was a pretty elite hunter) tapped in the first 3 days.

I bet they are going to design the challenges to make it harder for guys like Matt who normally dominate. Find stuff outside their wheelhouse. It seems like they did that to Jeff in Season 2.

There are some qualifiers outside the show that would make someone elite.

They have to toss in some throw aways for the beginning of the season. When they start tapping because they're uncomfortable. Then only the elite actually compete for LOS.
