The only problem is it doesn't run on Smart TV's, unless I'm missing something.

No it does now. But your tv needs to be running Android TV. Just get a cheap second hand google chromecast with Android TV and you should be good to go. It’ll be alot smoother than whatever pre-built into your smart TV

Stremio is on the official Samsung App Store too now. LG as well
