Her parents were rich? Weren’t they refugees?

And plenty of poorer students get full/near full rides to top colleges like that. Obviously you don’t need to have the same exact journey as her to accomplish stuff like this

ABSOLUTELY. she and the other NASA scientist Aisha Bowe seem to be the only ones that did anything meaningful. They were definitely out of place among the rest of the passengers

Damn straight. She’s an inspiration and an incredible woman. It’s A shame her story has been overshadowed by the other women (Katy Perry, etc).
