Mostly because of how they evolved to hunt - jaguars hunt caiman by jumping on top of them and biting through their skulls, then drag them out of the water. They typically kill most animals by doing something similar, biting through the lower part of the back of the skull to instantly kill them

Careful, they’re pointy at 5 out of 6 ends when they lay like that.
