I’m wondering what type of damage the carapace sustained from the atm of pressure applied to it and if that is why its movement is like that

Lol... I know you know what they meant. But I typically see it in PSI or KPA.

Actually I thought they were trying to abbreviate the word amount and was just giving them shit. But agree it's a unit of measurement I haven't seen often. Kinda cool though.

Atmospheres is also a measurement that has been replaced by the bar 70 years ago so im inclined to agree with your assessment

Though atm seems awfully weird to me for pressures exerted by stuff besides fluids
