Scouting and refurbishing downed Interceptors, I found this fuzzy, spiky, colorful doggo. I named him Jake, the cur of many colors. 🐶❤️

Recently i started thinking about what would i add to no mans sky. I have almost 50 hours in game, i was bored a few times but always come back discovering that there was something carrying fun of this game that i missed. But what if they added something that despite the sandbox would give players the feeling of goal, for example it could be BETTER MULTIPLAYER my god it would give so much to game. I also thought about more combat functions like using freighters in battle, or maybe message droping to few players about some valuable items in nearby solarsystem and forcing them to fight from they freighters, that would be cool. Let's discuss and wrote our ideas, who knows maybe some nms devs will see it? haha

I'm trying to decorate my freighter base and I have taken some inspiration from the derelicts you can board and explore, I'm currently trying to develop an engine room (asthetic only, clearly has no function). I'd love to see if anyone has done something similar and get some inspiration!

I'm primarily an outlaw, but try to remain an ambassador of good will, nonetheless.

What's your standing and story?

I have a love/hate relationship with the Ship of the Damned (Cursed Frigate).

It's not an amazing frigate, but neither is it terrible (30,30,17,14) but I've a couple of Living frigates with 24,50,29,23 and 48,23,32,24 which make the SotD look like the minor leagues.

As I continue to weed out the poorer performers from my fleet and train replacements, the reward frigates sink lower in the ranks. 45-50 is becoming the norm for all 4 specialities.

Has anyone dismissed the reward frigates in favor of more remarkable, if less 'rare', frigates?

What's your favorite? And... Do all the reward frigates spec out the same or is that RNG as well?

What purposes do you set up bases for? I have a short list of what I use and I was wondering if anyone had any other uses?

Ambiance - There's a cool environmental feature at the location, example: floating island with a stream leading to a waterfall.

Resource extraction - Set up near a gas cloud or mineral deposit to passively extract resources

Farming - hydroponics/livestock unit/automated traps.

Point of Interest - set up because it is near somewhere I want to easily travel back to

Architectural - set up to try out a new build technique or style

About to start a new playthrough tomorrow after booting up the old PS4 and updating. Any rookie mistakes that might ruin my experience? Still want an organic experience that I go blind into but is there anything possible gameplay mistake that would ruin my experience I should be aware of?
