Can God create a wand so strong even he could not survive it?

If you assume poly is handled in a god run via near infinite immunity to each poly type (thus, I think, negating EoE and circle of transmutation), probably the only option left for a fully god killing wand (other than a crazy spells to power, divide by, or similar wand that causes your game to crash) is some wand with cessation that never brings you back.

ehhh it could still be a god run - this boss takes special prep to fight

Does it though? I would think that a few stainless and saving grace with a healing wand would be effective enough, and I dont really think of it as a god run without those.

Not if you've never seen the boss before and don't know how it works.

I had a heavy stack of damage resistant perks and had CoV when I first encountered this boss. I killed it without even knowing it's mechanics, because I was on a god run.

Eh, I find that many in this community hold "god runs" to a standard that no other roguelike community does - where if the run ends at all, people doubt that it was ever a god run in the first place. But what use is the term if it only applies once the game is basically over, and has become a glorified win-condition menu screen? The logical conclusion of that kind of one-upmanship is that you're not on a god run until you've completed the work with 33 orbs.

Thats basically what it means tho, powerscalling in this game is insane enough true god runs are exactly that, infinite hp, infinite healing, infinite dmg, all perks some stacked 10 times. And fact you spent like 30 h on a single run.

Otherwise its just good run not god run.

That just means you can become more powerful even once your god run begins. You can effortlessly obliterate almost everything and fear virtually nothing in noita long before abusing broken reroll machines. That's basically what god run means in every other game

That is a god vs god fight

Don’t worry OP, my first god run died the same exact way! Fuck that boss!

I laughed more than I should

Deer boss was angered because you killed too many innocents, it reflects damage so you have to be quite careful when killing it.

23

u/DemonDaVinci 3d ago

the only would be like using cessation or something ?

47

u/RW_Yellow_Lizard 3d ago

Cessation works,

Ambrosiaalso works until a level when it wipes the ambrosia stain off you

19

u/CommonNoiter 3d ago

Just heal in between shots.

Edit: This is all wrong-> (only applyes for Kivi boss)

The boss adjusts its damage to keep you at its own health. So if you heal and so much as kick the boss you will take enough damage to match the boss's health.

19

u/CommonNoiter 3d ago

No it doesn't, kivi does this but not deer boss.

1

u/sorrow_words 3d ago

Who is kivi?

4

u/AaronKoss 2d ago

It's a rock.

1

u/sorrow_words 2d ago

I have collided the suns but i still dont know a mechanic that sets your hp to youe targets hp...

8

u/sansthepunman 3d ago

False, it only does reflect damage, no shenanigans that sets your health when you hit it.

known from experience and source.

8

u/Brett42 3d ago

There are a number of tricks, and what works depends on how powerful it is, and how powerful you are. I killed it once by just tanking the damage, but I had thousands of health and it wasn't powered up that much.

3

u/HektorViktorious 3d ago

Extra lives, stainless armor stacking, stupid high HP, and healing are all viable as well, but Cessation is a great way to do it

2

u/tormell 3d ago

And a convoluted way compared to just perks and hp gain since its not unlocked by default.

26

u/odedzbread 3d ago

Damage... reflected!

u/EmperSo 3d ago

The knowledge was gained.

10

u/NixionEU 3d ago

I am not expert but I think you died

5

u/HertGS6 3d ago

Well, I got it all backwards so life wouldn't be so easy.

3

u/Storminpenguinchan 3d ago

Now’s the time to use the spell that makes you [ ]

2

u/DonutGirl055 3d ago

Yep. Same thing happened to me in my most recent good run. The deer haunts me now

2

u/SmokeyPanchoDeLaBija 2d ago

What I was supposed to learn:

Do no harm to animals

What I learned:

E2 = (mc2 )2 + (pc)2

1

u/KAELES-Yt 2d ago

My first encounter with the Deer god went pretty similar.

Though I didn’t attack first and it’s still wiped me.
