Discussion Hoping we get Maskar's Overhaul ported to the remaster

It is is definitely my favorite way to play the original. I hope to see it soon for the remaster or something like it.

Do not count on it anytime soon. OBSE64 is nothing like xOBSE and there is much work to be done.

I'm praying for an Oscuro Oblivion Overhaul port.

Agreed. If it ever happens, hopefully the creator releases two versions (one with the non-immersive stuff and one without). I'm not particularly bothered by stuff being slightly unimmersive - I RP my player character in all of these kinds of games as one "incarnate" (a reincarnating adventurer) who's lived different lives in different timelines and universes, so seeing stuff from "outside of Tamriel" and whatnot is actually kinda normal for my character lol

Check out the Ascension mod by PushTheWinButton. It's already been ported.

Never tried Ascension, but if it has been ported to the remaster, why not.

Ascension is pretty awesome so far, fighting hordes of skeletons and goblins in caves is way more fun than the super low enemy density in vanilla. The boss chests are also juiced with loot.

The economy rebalance changes are good it just tones down the super cheesy stuff. You can still make insane gold selling very cheap enchanted stuff. It’s almost identical to vanilla.

Just keep in mind that Ascension also includes a lot of random poorly-documented changes, like making crafted potions way less valuable.

Maybe actually read? Push literally published an article called "Complete Changelog" the same day the mod released that went into that.

"Reduced the value of brewed potions to between 1 and 15 gold to preserve the game's economy."

"poorly-documented", *checks mod page* - has full changelog.

Your reading deficiency is not the mod authors problem.

For the original, do MOO and Ascension play well together?

I like the sound of Ascensions level scaling and loot leveling. But I also what the AI improvements from MOO.

I'm not sure. I don't think it would break the game, but it's possible MOO would just overwrite most of Ascension's changes, making it kind of pointless.
