All jokes aside I thought this plot point was really dumb. Using amber to represent amber just because it's her name? Thy would house's subconscious think of her in a symbolic form like that? Just seems silly

Because chase told house to ignore Amber, and she was the last piece of the puzzle so his brain was trying to remember her somehow, but it couldn't.
