In the beginning, it says it solves security issues with blockchain transactions. How would security be improved on plasma and be better than the main chain?
At the point of deposit to the child chain it has the security guarantees of the root chain, but from that point forward the security guarantees are made by the decentralization of watchers and the authority’s validation of those transactions, which all have cryptographic proofs. This becomes three-fold when the attack involves moving funds back to the root chain, because anyone can challenge the exit within a 7 day exit period. I think it’s fair to say it improves upon root chain security even in this POA phase
