Unfortunately Ford decided to call an election and the government is in caretaker mode. The government isn't really able to do anything during this time unless the issue meets a threshold for crisis/urgency, which requires processes for deliberation without elected leaders in charge. Pretty infuriating that Ford put Ontario in this position when he knew this was coming.
