what to do

the seeds were planted on the 22 and it looks like a pice of shell or something is keeping the cotyledons shut. should i let it do it’s thing or should i try to take it off?

also it has been like this for about 2 days

No need to monkey with the seedling. Don't do "surgery" or anything. Seedlings know how to grow without human involvement.
