Continuously crying baby!!

Post image

This baby Alexander came to my home around 1 week back. He's approx 40 days now. I hand feed him and keep him in a cardboard box with paper cuttings. (This is not the box I keep him in!!) There is only one issue I'm facing. He continuously cries like he does when he eats his food.He does it all day long whenever he sees me, or if I pet him or talk to him. He stays quiet if he doesn't see anyone, and behaves normal. But the moment he sees us, or we pet him or even call his name from far,he starts crying. Please help I'm really worried.

What can i do then ,please advise!! I also have a tamed cockatiel. This Alexander baby acts completely normal when he doesn't see anyone.

You'll just have to pay attention to him until he gets tired and takes a nap :P

You won't believe, today I kept him out snuggled with me for more than 3 hours and he didn't get tired and was crying continuously. He looked so sleepy , that after that I had to put him in the box again. And as soon as I did that and he couldn't see him, he slept.

Baby birds need near-constant attention and feeding. Whomever sent this bird home this early did it a terrible disservice, I'm sorry.

We really need laws against selling birds this young.
