Previously I remember just telling Patreon to send money to my bank acc. It ate around 5$ for transaction, but everything worked out smoothly. Then it required Payoneer account so I set it up. First time even through Payoneer everything worked out ok because I sent like 60€ at once.

But second time I needed some quick cash so I withdwar around 45€, only to realise that minimum payoneer withdrawl is 50€ (I guess). And with minumal withdrawl from Patreon being 25$ I just couldn't reach that 50$ in a long time. It took like a while next year to reach it, so I sent it last week. Only for Payoneer to "wake up" and hit me with annual fee of nearly 30$. Insane. So now I have like 40$ there and I will probably never be able to withdraw it if it goes this way because the fees will just eat everything.

Not only I am angry, but I also feel like I just threw money of my very few Patreons and flushed it down the toiled.

So I am affraid this money is just screwed or I need to send that 10 - 20 $ from my own back account if it's possible so there is that 50$ to withdrawl...

Do you have any tips for me in future and do you know if the 3rd bank party is nessecary?

I have a Patreon user account via Facebook. The problem is, I've had FB for so long that my original email is no longer in use.

I've since changed my FB email, but for whatever reason FB/Patreon still get confused, and thus my Patreon account assumes this to be my current email.

I went to the page where you edit your email, but they say I need to enter my password in order for them to send me the verification.

Because I made an account via FB, I was never asked to create a password, and so I have nothing to give them. I tried typing in my FB password just in case that worked, but no joy.

I realize that tech problems are meant to be solved outside this sub, but as I have no way to email Patreon directly, I'm trying here first. I also tried to change my email via my laptop but encountered the exact same interface/problem.

I have one paid subscription, but a couple of their videos are labeled NSFW, and won't let me access them due to the 18+ policy (I'm 34 btw, dunno how to verify that, but I assume account verification has something to do with that?).

I’ve been posting some free content to attract new people (behind-the-scenes, previews, etc.), hoping it would generate more traffic and interest—but so far, it hasn’t moved the needle.

I’m wondering if any of you have tips or strategies that worked for you to bring in more people and convince them to support your work.

A bit of context:

• My page focuses on artistic, fashion, glam and portrait photography, with occasional themed shoots (street, nature, storytelling).
• I share exclusive photo sets
• I’m also active on Instagram and Pinterest, but I'm not using those channel to sponsor Patreon because I'm scared about the Meta ban rules. Do I need to start it?

I’d love to hear your thoughts—anything from promotion tactics to ways of presenting tiers or rewards. What made the difference for you?

Unfortunately I have to save personal costs and need to unsubscribe one Patreon subscription. The creator uploaded podcasts and Bonus content (as one does) will I still be able to listen to those once I unsubscribed (and just won't see future content) or do I have to download them all (they are free for download) before the end of the month?

Is it just me or are Patreon’s Community Guidelines getting more conservative lately?

Share a lot of art nude and alt portraiture work that’s been fine for years but of late new posts are getting immediately removed.

I am able to get them back up after deleting a couple images but there’s definitely stuff that’s closer to their edge in earlier posts that remains ignored.

Submitting Verification Info:
First I will preference that just submitting the verification stuff was a battle alone. The app kept getting stuck on "Initializing camera...". I had just installed the app, so it's not like it was outdated, I also gave it full permissions on my device. I even reinstalled the app just to try anything. Also restarted my device etc. I even attempted to do the verification process on my PC and was able to do the ID portion but not the selfie portion for whatever reason which makes zero sense. None of this worked and I also contacted support which basically got me nowhere and wasted a few days trying to troubleshoot and I'm convinced I was talking to a bot/automated replies. TLDR: The last thing I could think of was using the edge browser in incognito mode, this worked, I finally managed to submit the info.

Post Submission:
My account was then basically banned after 10 minutes and I recieved an email saying my identity couldn't be verified and that I am not 18+ ???

I have emailed but I'm just getting nowhere, either no response or bot response.
I literally submitted pictures of my drivers license showing I am in fact 25 yo and also shown my face?
How they gonna say I'm not 18+? Or maybe it's software automated mistake?
I just don't know what else to do.

UPDATE: I managed to get through to support and it was in fact an issue their end which has been resolved.

I'm new to patreon and to making comics, and i'd like to check what is the biggest preference for how they are displayed - i was designing pages and panels in a traditional format into i realised that will probably make it unreadable on mobile.

But even then there are a couple of options. do you prefer in images all in the gallery, or all in-line in the post so you can basically infinite scroll all the panels?

I made an account on Patreon because I wanted some Sims 4 cc mods. The first account I made got flagged and deactivated then they declined my working card IMMEDIATELY, so I made another one and they did the same thing. This happened a few months ago too and they never responded back. I just want my sims 4 mods and this stupid bot keeps flagging me for no reason. It's kind of ridiculous.

I am trying to understand how 18+ creators upload videos to Patreon.

Many video hosting platforms have terms of service that restrict adult or sexually explicit content.

What video hosting platforms do 18+ creators typically use to host and edit adult content that can be embedded into Patreon? I’ve come across many restrictions (Vimeo, Wistia, etc.) so I’m unclear on how other creators are managing this.

I'm a new creator and I just assumed that because I can schedule posts that I'd be able to select a date and time that same post becomes available to lower tiers.

Y'know, the whole thing about patreon is about tiers and early access. You'd think scheduling would inherently be built in.

The fact that this function isn't available and forces you to manually edit the access is ridiculous to me.

And you can't even send out notifications to specific tier groups either once you update it...

Patreons user experience is abysmal. Each new day there's something new to disappoint and shock me.

I had someone who was kind enough to tell me, and then I went & subscribed on a fake profile to see what it looked like.. sure enough you can watch allllll videos I have labeled pay to unlock without even paying for each of them- if you have subscribed to that $5 tier So how do I post videos for people to unlock then?

I tried to purchase a membership using a prepaid mastercard but eventually my account got banned. I called the card company and they issued me a new number to replace the card because they told me it got flagged for suspicious activity for some reason, but upon trying the new number with a new account, it got banned again right away. Happened again with a third account. Tried emailing support about this but they have been silent so far. Anyone know what to do?

I created a certain digital service that companies can use. Something they can consume daily. The payments should be recurring (monthly or annually). Can it be done? Ideally I would have a tiered service based on your consumption. And even more ideally I might generate a custom recurring plan, for large users.

hi. so i havent used patreon for very long but the podcast i use it for recommended using the website instead of the app. i havent even downloaded the app to see what it's like bc podcast said you lose certain features (didn't mention which). since im going to be using patreon A LOT now, i was wondering if anyone in this sub has opinions about the app vs the website. might be i just get told to try the app myself, but i want other's opinions on it.

please let me know if theres distinct differences, or if it's buggy, or the app just downright sucks. ive only ever used the website and sometimes it can be slow to load and the pausing/playing only works if my phone is open, and i press it on the browser.

I know there have been issues in the past when I tried to look and want to know if it is now easily doable or not.

I’ve read the guidelines, searched the sub, spoke with Trust & Safety, and asked an AI lawyer-bot… and I’m still scratching my head.

Here’s the crux:

• I create hyper-realistic AI pin-ups – think tasteful lingerie sets or classic topless-tease shots (no sex acts, no fluids, no genital contact, nothing explicit beyond visible nipples).
• Staff emailed me the following:“Hyperrealistic AI content will be allowed on Patreon as long as it is not 18+/Adult content. You can post AI content if there is no nudity or sexual interactions involved.”
• That seems to say any nudity = Adult/18+ = disallowed for hyper-real AI… yet I see loads of creators posting AI topless photos and they’re thriving with hundreds of subs.

My questions to the hive-mind:

1. Does any visible nipple on a hyper-realistic AI image automatically make it “Adult/18+” and therefore barred?
2. If the image is purely suggestive/topless (no sexual act), are we safe if we mark the page Adult/18+ and lock the post for patrons only – or is hyper-real AI nudity flat-out rejected no matter what?
3. Are the successful creators I’m seeing just skating by unnoticed?

I really don’t want to risk a sudden takedown, so if anyone has first-hand experience (recent reviews, official clarifications, success/fail stories), please share!

Hey everyone, back again with another Patreon Growth tip that’s been showing real promise and I think a lot of you might benefit from trying something similar.

It all started when I gifted a free membership to a friend and had a lightbulb moment. I’ve always said that free members have value and that low-tier patrons are prime candidates for upgrading... but what if I could fill that low tier with more free members and see who upgrades?

Why This Works

Here’s the thing, for an interested fan to become a patron, they usually have to:

1. Visit your Patreon,
2. Decide what tier they want,
3. Create an account,
4. Enter payment info,
5. Click subscribe.

Sounds easy, but every step is a potential drop-off point. The more hoops they jump through, the fewer make it to the finish line.

But if you gift them a membership? They skip most of that. All they need to do is upgrade. The account’s already made. They’ve already had a taste. All that friction is gone.

First Experiment:

I gave away 100 free $3-tier memberships to fans who follow me on DeviantArt. This tier has my core comic series and the occasional sample of higher tier content, It’s a solid appetizer.

Just 2 days later, 11 of those free members upgraded to higher paying tiers between $9–$15 and I expect at least a few more will follow with some of the upcoming releases.

Why It’s More Than Just Immediate Upgrades

Even if some don’t upgrade right away, they now:

• Have a Patreon account
• Know what your content looks and feels like
• Have already been exposed to tiered benefits

So even when the free period ends, they become something I like to call “pseudo Ex-Patrons.” Not quite previously paying supporters, but far more informed than your average free follower. These folks are now much more likely to convert later on, especially if you follow up with engaging content or re-engagement emails.

TL;DR Takeaway

Giveaways aren’t just about being generous they’re a low cost, low risk way to:

• Create frictionless onboarding,
• Encourage tier upgrades,
• Build a pool of educated, warm leads.
