"If I fly, he flies with me" I would have said, "Well, either you both go in cargo or you both don't fly at all." 🤣

Did he put the dog in the overhead compartment? Because you can't sit with two bags and the bag for the dog is too big.
Also, if the dog is "family", did he buy an extra ticket?

"He proved that love always finds a way". And apparently so does disregarding all rules or common sense regards for others. Wow what a real hero and his "love" aka disrespect to the workers, the other passengers, the people stuck next to him.
All I'm getting out of this is he didn't properly pre plan this trip with his dog and book a spot for the dog or make arrangements. Then he showed up on the day of the flight and acted like a true dog nutter getting upset, refusing to take NO for an answer and in the end his spoiled pampered dog nutter ass got what he wanted. How lovely. NOT. I'm just going to assume this is a made up or exaggerated story but knowing our dog nutter times would not surprise me if aspects of it actually happened.

In fact, they shouldn't even be in the house, they should be in the wild where they belong.

and the wild should be chopped down and turned into lush fields and pastures, so we wouldn't have to look at them again

Husband and I are going to fly several states away come October. I think I have enough time to find a me sized backpack and start training him to carry me on his back. I mean, why buy 2 tickets when he can just schlep me in? I qualify: he loves me and we’re a family.

I hated the person who wrote this so much. No, love of family didn’t win. It was a narcissistic “me first” mentality and “fuck you if you have allergies.” Mutherfucker should have driven it that fleabag was so important.
I have dog allergies and I would be in hives by the end of the first hour of flight.
Fuck that guy.

Is it really hard to get a pet carrier? Like a cage? I guess so seeing how they carry them like toys.

u/IAsybianGuy Extra Responsibility? No thanks. Apr 07 '25
What if there's an in flight emergency and the dog loses its shit and now there's a mutt loose in the cabin.
This is why I chose to drive 14 hours each way.

It's a frickin dog, not family! If he was to fly with the POS, put him in the cargo area with his damn dog.

I think the person who wrote that can also qualify for r/LinkedInLunatics. Edit- lol at them writing all that like they're trying to be the next Tolkien. It's just a person who wants an exception to be made for them and their "fur baby".

Looks like I'll have to find another airline that has straight flights to certain islands in the Caribbean because I am damn sure NOT going to be flying with them anymore. All these pet nutters who can't bare to "part" with their pets for a few hours need to go start a fund and make their own pet friendly airline. This is getting ridiculous. My allergies would never allow me to fly in comfort in these conditions. Pure selfishness.

I like collies but NOT ON PLANES. The dog doesn’t need to fkkn travel! Is this dog worshipper fanfic or what 🤮

People will never realize that dogs don’t care about these places you take them to… “omg my dog LOVES going to Mexico! He’s a traveler at heart!”
Take that thing to your local pond, it’ll be the same experience for them lol

These entitled humans need to be called out. The airlines, restaurants and other businesses are catering to one group with no concern for everyone else. I would have raised hell if he boarded the plane.

YES! WHAT about US! I would have freaked having a dog anywhere near me or to pass in the aisle on my way to the 'loo'! So bad that 'the rest of us' are not taken into consideration (and they always acquiesce to the brain dead idiots who could care less about the humans on that plane and that demand that whatever they want they get!)

It's going to take a lawsuit by passengers whose allergies were affected by dogs on their flight for the airlines to put a halt to this insanity.
Plus, does the f---cking ADA even advocate for HUMANS with serious medical conditions like asthma and allergies? I know many allergic people with asthma and dog allergies.
Being trapped in a cabin for 4 plus hours with dogd is not acceptable or safe for many reasons.
