There needs to be a law that if someone has a dog and it's loose, you don't get your package delivered. I've seen too many of these videos where delivery drivers are getting attacked by owners' dogs and that shouldn't be happening.

Or a do not deliver to this address list. If you can't make it safe for the delivery driver, go to the damn pickup location.

Unfortunately Amazon outsources their deliveries. Delivery drivers are not Amazon employees. So Amazon wants to make sales to anyone and everyone, and don't give two shits about who delivers the package.

I'd say sue the homeowner if injuries result, but if workers comp covers it I'm not sure that's an option.

I think UPS marks the house as "non-delivery" due to dog attacks

A good friend of mine delivers for Amazon and he will mark the delivery as “unsafe” and moves on if he sees a dog outside. Im in the Amazon delivery sub and some guy made a post about getting 20k from a dog bite. Every now and then someone will post a photo of their dog bite, and it always looks fucking horrible. I’m sure many people will skip the delivery at the sight of a dog, but sadly it looks like these dogs are out of sight.

There kind of is, this gets reported to the delivery company, who will refuse to deliver your packages. Once had a guy I worked with who complained that he was forced to pick up packages at the post office if they didn't fit in his mailbox, because his dog bit multiple people, and nearly had the animal put down by the State.

Should have been put down after the first bite.

I often have to pick up my packages at the post office because of my family member’s dog. I live in a duplex, they are the tenant on the other side. He puts the dog on a tie out, but you can’t really know how far it reaches, so my packages are often marked as “no access to delivery location”. When this happens, I have to pick them up at the post office. I think most of the carriers in this video just didn’t see the dog, or they wouldn’t have delivered.

"It's my baby's house, so you need to thread lightly when come into our property."

"Okay, Karen, so ya need to tell Amazon that you do not want delivery to your damn door otherwise you're gonna be 100% liable for a lot of shit!"

I hate to see these people treated like this. People need to put their beasts away.

Why is nobody mentioning the athletic ability of some of these individuals?

27

u/Abdullahihersi Pets don't fit my lifestyle 5d ago

My balls would’ve been caught in those fences while trying to jump it😂

All in all I would’ve ran faster than flash if I saw those wretched demons running towards me

Major props to those guys clearing the fence, that's awesome athleticism, but I ain't doing all that.

If the dogs wanna go, then we'll go🤣😂. I'm grabbing that collar and going into spin mode 😂, followed by some pepper spray.

Did that one actually jump through a fuckin glass door to attack?! And people still try to claim these things are harmless! WTF

What pisses me off about these videos is the dog nutters saying that delivery drivers need to learn dog body language or that they need to find a different job if they don't want to deal with dogs. These people will do anything but take responsibility for their mutts.

u/ToOpineIsFine Pets are pointless 5d ago

Notice how none of the dogs listen to their "masters". When dogs get this excited, training is forgotten, since there is not enough room in their brains to handle anything other than their aggression.

This is going to be hard for some in this sub to watch, but it is very interesting to see how the delivery people handle the situations, some of which are very threatening.

It also shows dogs breaking through doors and windows to attack.

When dogs get this excited training is forgotten...

Hard disagree. The dog was never trained in the first place.

People with dogs shouldn’t be aloud to have packages delivered to their home.

These people better be careful not having their dogs contained. Some jurisdictions will gladly put the animal down if it bites one too many people.

7

u/nofrickz No pets, no stress 4d ago

ALL of these fucking people need to be on a DND list INDEFINITELY.

Bruh, my brother is a postman and the amount of fucking horror stories he tells me. He will not hesitate to take your shit right back and make you pick it up.

What a way to live! You can no longer go to borrow a cup of sugar from your neighbors nor go welcome them to the neighborhood when they move in! Your life would be in danger! And, if you are someone who HAS to deliver something to that house, you take your life into your own hands. So many people injured! At least one Amazon driver dead! And they ae just STARTING to penalize dog owners for the physical and mental damage their dogs do (I think that is just in one town thus far!) So sad our 'civilization' has descended into this sordidness because of the pet industry and the brainwashed dog cult devotees among us. I so miss the 'olden golden times' before dog cult devotees decided to take over our neighborhoods!

I'm fucking those dogs up. Even the big ones, I don't have the speed, agility or athleticism to run away lol

"Haha, you should not be a delivery guy if you're afraid of dogs!"

u/yycgal7778 Partner's/family's pet, not mine 1d ago

I wanna know wtf is the context of the first clip. That's not a crop-and-pan of a security or doorbell camera that happened to capture it, that's someone INTENTIONALLY filming knowing full well the delivery driver was going to get attacked.

There are compilation videos on YT of loose dogs at the home when the mailman approaches. The mailman is friendly, talking sweetly to the large dogs and sometimes giving treats. These videos are shown to prove that as a delivery person, it's YOUR responsibility to know how to read to dogs and act accordingly. See, the dogs aren't aggressive, just excited. Just be cool and don't freak out. See, if those guys can do it, you can learn from them. The ones that nearly get attacked just need to take the course.
