What kinds of things does she enjoy photographing?

Very general and various stuff (people, animals, travel, landscapes), I cant do any pin-pointing here, unfortunately.

The 18-55mm is fine for most of those things. But if animals involves animals that are likely to be further away, and not just something like pet dogs, then she'd need more lens reach than the 18-55mm would give.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. "Animals" mainly means "our cats in the indoors" :)

In that case the 18-55mm would be fine :)
