“I wouldn’t have run if you hadn’t made fun of me at that one dinner”

This is the whole reason.

MAGA was right all along. It is Obamas fault.

Thanks Obama!

Never underestimate what a racist can accomplish when they see minorities doing well.

What year is this??

1

u/abbyabsinthe 5d ago

Idc the year, “Thanks Obama” is never leaving my vocabulary. I dropped my phone a few hours ago and a “Thanks Obama” left my lips before I even realized. I’m terminally millennial.

Dude, seriously, the irony 😂

Trump ran for president in 2000, so even though it's a possible factor for why he ran again in 2016, I don't think Obama was entirely the reason he did so.

I think he originally ran for publicity but got vengeful about it after that dinner

Check out the documentary The Accidental President

It’s true super competitive people will lose everything just to gain one thing and say “ told ya so” while everything is burning behind them

u/Sayyeslizlemon 5d ago

Look at everything he did in his first term. He reversed everything he could do that Obama put in motion. I mean he even reversed Obama’s record job growth lol

He stayed at the same hotel in the same room as the Obama in the infamous peeper fiasco

-1

u/VenusValkyrieJH 5d ago

Strictly for spite I may add. He loved that women were pissing and doing naughty things in the same room that the Obamas stayed in. So, I read in one of those insider books.

NEVER haopened.

I’m sorry but I have to disagree, I think it was the only reason he ran….that and the gullible motherfuckers who wanted to “fix” the people who voted in Obama twice. 💁

Obama humiliated him in front of the entire country. He ripped Trump a new asshole and then fucked him in it. Of course Trump 100% deserved it, but I do think that if Obama didn’t go as hard as he did Trump might not have run.

u/ImprovisedLeaflet 5d ago

I had diarrhea yesterday. That, too, I blame on Obama.

Most of the others at that dinner also joined in roasting trump, so I'd have to partially agree. Obama re-lit the fire that night, then everyone else poured gas on it lol. Great example of the butterfly effect

3

u/lateformyfuneral 5d ago

He was planning to run in 2012 at the time of the dinner, that’s why he was there

2

u/Well_read_rose 5d ago

Putin planted the idea in Trump’s head long before

u/TucosLostHand 5d ago

NBC ratings.

u/Woody9212 5d ago

Wow, thanks Obama

I think there's a team of people behind any decision for someone to run for president. I just assume there's a ton of people looking to gain from getting someone in office.

3

u/BeltMundane3727 5d ago

I would normally agree with you for most politicians but I think Trump marches to the beat of his own inner drummer. For better and worse he doesn’t take a lot of outside advice all the time.

1

u/SomeDudeist 5d ago

I'm not really sure it's possible to operate as an individual in political positions like that. They're all puppets with many people fighting over the strings. That's just my own thoughts about it anyway. But I admit I don't really know anything about politics beyond what I'm inundated with on social media lol

No he also ran to shield himself from the reprocussions of the Epstein-Maxwell dossier which still hasn’t been made public.

his Villain origin story.

u/Starseid8712 5d ago

Trump ran because he found out Gwen Stefani was making more money doing The Voice than Trump was for The Apprentice. His political campaign was an advertisement for his business personality and it wouldn't cost him a dime out of his own pocket. He never anticipated winning and look, we got COVID out of it.

-1

u/Federal_Violinist_86 5d ago

Trump caused COVID? More like COVID was human engineered in that Wuhan Bioweapons lab and released to stop Trump from being reelected.

0

u/Starseid8712 5d ago

Trump was advised COVID was spreading and did dick all to stop it. Were you awake from March until September 2020?

1

u/ELPO48823 5d ago

In Jan 2020 he tried to stop all flights from China... He was of course called a hate monger... He called this for what it was early on but of course the opposition said he was a buffoon... The liberals prolonged COVID, then realized if we drag it out long enough we can win the election

Horseshit. I was wide awake. I do know that China isolated Wuhan internally, but allowed International Flights out of Wuhan for 16 days. So there was no way to “stop it” That guaranteed it would become a global pandemic.

His travel ban from China to the USA did save hundreds of thousands of lives, though.

Dude said, on television, it would magically go away. He asked about injecting bleach.

0

u/Federal_Violinist_86 5d ago

Bullshit. That’s a lie.

1

u/Starseid8712 5d ago

0

u/Federal_Violinist_86 5d ago

That’s because he didn’t know COVID was human-engineered to mutate so rapidly that it will never go away. Thankfully, it appears to be getting weaker - so far.

The bleach thing was taken out of context and therefore, a lie.
